From a footballing perspective, I like this lad a lot. Would tear down the right flank a la Walker. I have faith Poch can manage him and with regards his 'off field' antics, there are two sides to every story.

I believe he would be an upgrade on Walker.

Never gonna happen. Although rotation is key, this guy won't play 2nd fiddle to Trippier. Trips will be our first choice RB in the Prem. The links to the younger guys like cancelo and german rb (cant remember his name) make more sense. Saying that, they might have seen enough in KWP to make them hold on until at least January

He does sound like the type of individual we wouldn't touch. That makes me think this is his agent's agenda. There have been stories all summer linking him with just about everybody so the agent stuff would make sense. Putting it out there that we have agreed terms to give someone else a nudge.

He can fuck off to somewhere like Chelsea, Arsenal or Liverpool who don't mind signing scumbags.

Couldn't imagine a club like Tottenham or even Everton, Manchester City or Manchester United entertaining this prick. I like to think we hold our players to higher standards off the pitch, although Maureen has probably got lower standards than Fergie in that regard so he could still end up there.

Perfect for Chelsea

It is a shame you know because he is a great player and has a lot of very good years ahead of him...

But his off-pitch antics are inexcusable. Homophobia and Confrontations with the cops are bad labels to have, and we simply cannot tolerate that. Next

Aye, and even that doesn't make quite so much sense given that we've bumped Trippier up to a better contract and seen that KWP is ready to deputise.

I wrote yesterday in the KWP thread how pleasing it was to see Kyle's humility...making a shy speech to the dressing room, taking a sneaky picture of his MoM award and the big smile showing how thrilled he was. The last thing I would want to see is a n arrogant prick like Aurier coming in and taking away KWP's chances of playing.

If the club decide that we need more in this position surely it's more likely to be someone like one of the lads from Germany like Hendrichs or Toljan with a much better attitude and ability to play on both sides, providing extra cover.

Far better fit for our squad.

I don't think KWP's performance, as assured as it was, will have convinced Poch we definitely don't need another RB (after all it was a pretty limited Newcastle side) but if suspect it's dropped down the list of priorities.

and the fact we could buy him at a relative discount. Without the the off-the-field flaws, he'd cost £50m+. I'm not saying we're interested, but I can see why we (or Levy) would be.

Really don't want this type of person near the club. Classless, homophobic and assaults policemen. He's not a good character and one thing I love about our team right now is that there's not a bad person amoungst them.

Signing any right back now will be devastating for Walker-Peters development not mentioning spending money that could be spent better elsewhere. I would be very surprised if Poch sanctioned this move.

Let's not go overboard. KWP did well against Newcastle and has a bright future. He'd still have opportunities to play even with a new RB coming in.

(I note JJ on twitter [opinion not ITK] said KWP should go on loan this season to gain experience, and I happen to agree with him).

As much as I don't condone any of his past transgressions, is there sometimes not a place for a bit of a c*** in the side to give it that edge? John Terry, Roy Keane, Arsenal in the early 90s etc. I know we've got some serious units with presence, and moussa likes an eye gouge as much as the rest of them, but I feel like there's always room for 1 mentalist. Ying and Yang etc

I don't want to stoop to the level of those teams
