With all the racist and misogynistic language and behaviour on display every time I visit the stadium it doesn't surprise me in the least. There are ****s out there, far too many of them, but what you gonna do apart from call out individuals as you see it happen?

Really? That half surprises me.

Didn’t sound good in the south stand! Though I have to say the stewarding and management by club wasn’t very good. They announce to be in yr seats at 5.20 then were blocking us going in at 5.15

I'm not British, and I must say I find the idea (generally) of Royalty incomprehensible, however, never, in my wildest dreams would I disrupt a minutes silence.

It's just disrespectful to the people who want to observe it. No matter who it's for!!

I don’t think anyone is arguing against that tbf

Because expressing oneself is, thankfully, not illegal. Racism, however, is.

Funny how you say that thankfully expressing oneself isn't illegal, and follow that by saying that racism is illegal, which would encompass racist expressions as the ones I was referring to.

Also, would I be correct or mistaken in claiming that any private businesses can choose to ban or prohibite inside their own installations whatever type of expressions they want?

The thing is there is a difference between drunk idiots just making noise and people deliberately disrespecting the silence. You can't really punish the drunken fools, because they don't know any better.

I was already seated 248 SS what was weird is that the original noise was coming from sing as fan came up to the entry points, this lead to shushing from peeps seated, what we were unaware of was the attempt by the stewards to prevent fans entering to fin their seats, there was just to many and arguing in the gangways, this was like having a myriad of tweeters in a loud speaker system, whih ause even ore unrest with the shushers!!

It was a minor screw up, but the banging out god save the queen opps king was superb

Did anyone actually see it happen/who did it in the stands?
A young lad a few seats and a few rows up across the stairwell from us shouted "Fuck West Ham", followed by "Fuck Leicester" to which people around us told him to shush. Then I think during the national anthem a few people from all different directions confronted him and honestly I've never seen some people so angry, threatening to fight, grabbing him by the scruff of his shirt. 5 mins into the game they were shaking hands but looked like it was gonna kick off for a bit.

I’m not advocating violence. But one of those confronting the young lad should have punched him in the face rather than grabbing the scruff of his shirt.
No one would have seen anything.

I’m not entirely sure dropping the c bomb as a response is an appropriate counter measure.

personally I found it quite amusing as did my two sons but I’m sure there was plenty offended by that.

the woman behind me belting out god save the king offended my eardrums a fair bit as well

Good. Won’t do it again will he. Lesson learnt.
