This is so blindingly obvious.... With a defensive midfielder Eriksen would be given more license to get in to attacking positions, our defence wouldnt be so wide open and we wouldnt be expecting attacking midfielders tracking back making silly challenges and giving away free kicks that lead to goals...oh...like today for instance...

Correct. Capoue was alienated from the squad somehow.

Let's blame AVB shall we!!?

something is very very wrong with this team. it was ruined and I don't believe will be fixed this season. Sherwood might be solution but 4-4-2 is definitely not a solution. for 4-4-2 you need natural wingers but we only got one of these (Lennon). 4-3-3 would fit our squad best I think. if we keep on playing 4-4-2, what the hell do we do with Paulinho, Holtby, Siggy, and so on?! plus, we got only 1 holding striker who obviously can't play every game after 6 months of no being dropped.

ps: I tried new FIFA career with that squad playing 4-4-2. I need to sold 3 midfielders in first transfer window and buy LW.

It's 2014 people!

Who plays 442 nowadays?

Wake up!!

It's time for the players to accept some blame now. They are not putting in acceptable performances- it can't be all down to the manager.

That's true but players need to play for and have respect for the manager...that didn't seem to be there today and that easily un motivates players.

I do have sympathies with those who are worried as hell though. Why wouldn't they be? We be laughing our tits off if Roman sacked Maureen and installed Jody Morris as permanent manager and Chelsea fans would be shitting it. Statistically, it's going to end badly. Hopefully Tim bucks the trend but how often do these moves work out?

If by the end of the season our home form hasn't improved, there'll be a hell of a lot of people calling for Levy to step aside. He's done so much for us in terms of raising our profile and getting us at the right end of the table but this groundhog day manager sacking stuff has to come to an end at some point. We need to stick with a manager, preferably one that doesn't have to learn on the job.

Levy needs to get the next managerial appointment right or it could be the beginning of the end for him.

Yeah he raised our profile as "Club which sacks managers after 18 months"

Unbeaten.... Hahahahah funtastic!!! Against the mighty Sourhampton and West Broom.

We're going from bad to worse on here....

Next we will be saying that avoiding the drop is considered having a great season!
Never fear. Only 9 more pts to go until we have 40. Still a little ritual of mine. I'll never forget '98.

It didn't need much really, just subtle changes.. Keep the same shape, bring Adebayor back and tell the players to pass and move "forward" as opposed to sideways. With United and Scum coming up I really hope Sherwood reconsiders a lot because if he sticks to the Ossie Ardiles way we are going to get hammered.

Sacking him now won't do us any favours, so he obviously needs to stay until the end of the season (or resign at some point). I don't think the squad would respond well to a manager getting the sack just a week after he was appointed.. Having said that, I don't think Timmy is the man to take us forward and I really hope Levy has someone lined up once the season ends.

It's sort of fun watching us play at the moment, but I can't help but feel the players are just being told to facking run about a bit. Also, we could just put some cones out instead of defenders as it wouldn't make a fucking difference at the moment.

Well, AVB certainly had us playing like team heading into relegation. 1 win in last 6 at home in PL, 8 points from last 7 PL games, clearly negative goal difference. Completely found out.

Yep. it'll be a prison style shaming. Hopefully someone gives him a nudge before those games though. Or DL could be setting even an greater record for shortest time served as Spurs coach under ENIC.

I'm sorry but...

What did you expect?

Sherwood will take this club backwards until he is sacked, demoted, removed, whatever you want to call it in the summer.

And then we might have some serious discussions about what the fuck Daniel is playing at.
You'll have to get past his personal guard first.

Didn't we beat Sunderland and Fulham away in consecutive games?

Shame on you for bending the stats in your favour!

Yeah but guess what, AVB left us in a better position than we are now sitting in 8th place!

We will be lucky to get 60 points this season.

Then Levy will pull the trigger on Tim and bring in Van Gaal.

All the same slow impotence and lack of quick incisive play in the final third.

None of the composure or controlled possession (but you need a midfield to do that)

Just a random chasing of a ball around a park.

Run around a bit, springs to mind...
That first half, especially, was a pristine example of raaaan arrraaaand a bit.

All those who wanted AVB out who are now complaining about Sherwood.
You wanted him out and you got what you wanted. Suck it up!!
It's pathetic to turn on the new manager after his second game in charge.
