Poch is doing ok-ish but Koeman has taken a side that lost its entire best players, inherited a bunch of kids and freebies and is currently tearing up the premiership

Poch has potential but what Koeman has done i have not seen since Jose took Porto to the CL

Should we make Koeman an offer he cant refuse?

Maybe we could just do a swap, it's only a few games in to the season surely it's allowed??

They invested the money they had wisely and correctly. That's all.

We had a chance to grab an elite Dutch manager who is younger than Koeman and more accomplished, and we passed on him. The one thing Koeman's success shows is that "Premier League Experience!" is vastly overrated when it comes to managers. If you are a successful manager at a high level in Europe, which Koeman and De Boer have been, you'll have no problem adapting to the EPL so long as you're given a decent squad to work with.

The other thing about Koeman is that he brought in two of his former players in Tadic and Pelle, who have been their best players. Pochettino couldn't do that (clearly not his fault), and it's clearly impacting his ability to shape his ideas into the squad.

Pressure and expectation is vastly different from club to club. We could sign Koeman, sure, but I doubt he'd do much better than Poch as the pressure and expectation here is very different. The kind of players you're managing differs too. We see this in players too. Siggy, for example is a very good player, but not for us.

I think the only ways for us to achieve our goals are a) hire a big name with proven track record, or b) hire a promising manager who must be given at least 3 years, no matter what, to mould and shape his own squad.

Very little chance of the former happening, so we haven't got much of a choice but to go with the latter.

Any manager taking the spurs Job wont get the players he wants or needs rather he is given what suits Levy/commitee and their pockets.
Its not about building a winning team its about building a healthy bank balance.

Very impressive today but it's very very early in the season. They've only played 2 teams from last seasons top 7 and they lost both.

Jesus Christ change the record. It really is very boring.

Another alternative would be that Allardici guy that has got West Ham to 4th. Levy/Baldini must have been sleeping to miss out on this rising star of the management game.

Koeman's building on good foundations. Poch is building on a mud sand and marshmallow base.
You can say that all their best players left but I assume Poch coached more than just the 4 or 5 that left. That would make for pretty sparse training sessions.
