A really good player that will shine in another team. Excellent business from both sides, and I wish him the best of luck on his future challenges. Have always liked Gylfi, he always came off as a great person, and a great professional. A shame it didn't work out with us.

Good luck Gylfi, great goal last season.

My god he hit the posts about 20 times in his first season!

Here's a few of the good stuff he produced for us. Not alot, but fucking hell that goal against Hull was legendary.

I liked the guy, just an honest player, never moaned, just got on with it. Didn't quite pan out, don't think we played to his strengths, as Swansea did during his loan spell. I think he'll do well back there, and we have other players in the queue for his position that may well get a chance, Carroll, Falque, Ceballos, Pritchard etc.

Best of luck to Siggy.

Doesn't offer enough to play for a club
That wants to be at the top end of a league. Scores a respectable level of goals and some nice passes from time to time, but there were too many games where he would drift through totally anonymous.

Did hit the woodwork an uncanny amount too.

Best of luck to him, likeable character and always tried to play good football. Ultimately too weak (has anyone ever seen a player get knocked off the ball more than Sigurdsson does?) and too slow to ever cement a first team spot at Spurs, but gave his all when called upon and therefore deserves a good reception whenever he returns to WHL in the future.

No more than a squad player I'm afraid and not first team choice. The star player in Iceland, he needs to be playing and loved in a team every week, not hanging round to play for parts of matches at Tottenham. Don't get me wrong, I think he was at the least ok, but did he want to come on and then have to be the game changer or did he need to come on a just sure up a game? Best of luck Gylfi.

I liked him a lot. Not sure pochettino wanted him gone. More a case of having to let go to get davies and vorm and pochettino beeing ok with it since he wouldn't be instrumental in any way.
Strikes me as a good bloke with good attitude and wish him the best of luck( just not against us)

Just wasn't a very well thought out signing in the end.

Sadly not good enough and anonymous in far too many games. Was out of position on the left but when we tried him at no10 he never set the world alight. The only exceptional performance I can remember is Norwich at home early on last season.

We were absolutely right to cash in considering our bloated squad.

Nah! We bought him just too piss off the bindippers! ;)

Great guy and good player, will never forget his wonder goal last season.
Can only echo those who say Gylfi needed to go, for both him and us.
He need to play and have a star role though the middle, not be an impact player in an for him awkward position.

Jefferson Montero to Swansea as well. Like the look of him I think they can be quite happy with the work they've done this summer so far. Just like us. They can play Taylor again in place of Davies and see only a small drop-off and have improved their attacking options with Sig and Montero. Plus for whatever reason they also seem to rate Fabianski so didn't in their minds need Vorm
