If he can't hold the ball or dribble past a defender he needs to receive and move it along pretty quickly. Not sure that's a modern day #10.

If he could become a playmaker from deeper he'd be in with a shout. If he could add a lot of fitness and a little more hustle into his game he could be a box to box legend with his height and shot. A lot of ifs though, and we're not in a position to wait for them to kick in.

Blokes like him need to be told at a much earlier age about positional requirements. They've been the same for him since he was 16.

Agreed, but those ifs require a physicality he just doesn't have. He is at his peak and his peak isn't what we need.

Good for us if Palace and Swansea are bidding against each other. May give us leverage in the bony deal (if we are after him), or at the very least some more cash

Just said on SSN that out transfer plans are up in turmoil because Siggy and Dawson are refusing to leave.

Think they just make this shit up.

I don't mind it, I have a soft spot for Sigurdsson and I still think that he can shine with the right manager in charge. When it comes to Dawson it just seems like he is just trying to get a better deal and that is understandable, I still think he'll be gone.

But if our whole transfer strategy this window is based on getting £15m for Sigurdsson and Dawson in order to do anything then that's a much bigger problem.

Sounds like typical Levy to me. Even though we have made money already this year through the Defoe and Livermore sales.

they just read it in the Mirror. Its probably just a story by the club trying to drum up interest in our players.

Silly if Soggy and Dawson refuse to go, particularly the former.

He'll be competing against Lamela, Eriksen, Chadli, Lennon, Holtby & Townsend. We could bring someone else in as well. He is not going to get a game as long as Pochettino isn't a daft bastard.

The best way to deal with this is to bring in the players we were originally intending to and then make them change their minds when they finally realise they won't play.

8m for Siggy is pretty decent. I totally expect him to go to a lesser side and really look a gem given he will probably be the key player should he go to a place like Crystal Palace.

Is'nt that what we paid for him?

Yeah, I think that's about as well as we will do given he's not been consistent.

Also, he and Harry Kane won the "first pitch" contest on Spurs TV. They are supposed to face each other during the US Tour to decide who gets the honor. We obviously won't sell him before that happens!

They would sell Siggy if only they could find him, as this was a common trait he showed last season..

Didn't know Siggy attended the Milford Academy.

Interesting. I really do like Siggy and I want to see him succeed. I think going to a place like Palace where he can be the linchpin in attack will really see him flourish.

He needs a team built round him - and he'll do well. Unfortunately he's not quite good enough to have a team built round him at a Club like Spurs when we have the likes of Eriksen way in front of him to build round.

Couldn't agree more. He could be the best player on Palace and with Pulis at the helm, you got to think there will be plenty of dead all situations for him to really get a lot of opportunities for assists/goals.

Yep. Wouldn't surprise me at all if he gets at least ten goals for someone like Palace.
