I think Berbatov will be excited by the prospect of playing under Ramos, i'm sure Ramos has told him he's important to his plans. If not though, if he wants out, he can go. Not because he's been off form like most of you numpties are saying, but because we need players who want to win for the club. Saying he's been rubbish this season, let's sell him is stupid, Man Utd weren't willing to pay upwards of £30mil last season for nothing.

Thats the bit you ought to be thinking, we have no evidence that they were.

I feel that if he wants to go he should go. Abroad. We should be doing our utmost not to lose a player of his calbre to a rival club.

I think it's delusional for anyone to even think Sir Alex Ferguson would even contemplate on bidding Dimitar Berbatov.

sadly, i agree, so i think his sulking could end up being very expensive for us as his value has fallen a lot since the summer.

to be honest I wouldn't be that upset if he left, as long as we got a good amount of money for him and it all goes to Ramos to bring in players he wants, then its fine with me

but if he starts putting in 110% effort and his attitude gets better, then I don't mind if he stays, but as it stands atm I am leaning towards sell and let Ramos loose on the transfer market

its up to Berbs what happens next, improve or be sold

I wouldnt be upset like I would have been in the summer when everything was going well. It has become clear that this isn't a bloke you would want next to you in the trenches, he is not a battler whatsoever.

That said if he did stick around maybe the manager can get him back playing better than ever, it isn't like we can easily replace him.

Update article

Ramos said: “He's one of the best quality players we have got and we want to have him with us for a long time to come.
“I'm sure he will have an excellent season.
“I've seen him and he looks quite happy and very well integrated but I've only been at the club for a few days.
“I do not want to sign anyone new from Sevilla nor any other team.”

Berba/his agent would say he wants out under two conditions: (1) Levy and/or Ramos refuse to sell him in January, and (2) a big club wants him. The meaning of the first condition is that if Levy and/or Ramos agree to sell him, then Berba/his agent will not publicly express his desire to leave for otherwise the club eventually will lose him at a cut price.

So, if his agent says that Berba wants to play under Ramos this would mean that they achieved agreement Berbatov to stay (at least) till the summer. If his agent says Berbatov is unhappy, this would mean Levy and/or Ramos wants to keep him (at any price). If his agent makes an unclear statement about his future, then Berbatov is leaving for sure to...You know.

You're forgetting something though mate, he doesn't leave if Levy says he doesn't

Levy likes to lose players at a cut price.

Levy is not so stupid to keep him against his will beyond the next summer, for (1) the club would lose a lot of money and (2) he is not particularly useful, when he is not happy.

I think he's a bad influence so wouldnt mind him leaving. But, i actually think this is gonna be the opposite. I think its the agent creating some focus on his client and big anticipation on his decision. He's had a bad season so far, he knows the fans are perhaps losing patience, and if he all of a sudden decideds to stay at Spurs the fans will all love him again......who knows!?

You are right, Tevez acted like a knight in the summer.

Tevez did absolutely fuck all! Stayed out of the media, kept away and let the clubs sort it out.

I don't understand what you're getting at.

This would make alot of sense.

Time will tell I guess.

Considering he wasn't owned by West Ham and they were shitting it about getting punished again I would say he was pretty honourable actually. He could have slated them.

That's your problem mate, maybe you lack information. :)

Anyway, Spurs can without Berbatov, Berbatov can develop as a player without Tottenham. Divorces are something normal, let alone marriage crises. :) Let be a bit patient and wait for the official statement. It's clear though that Ramos wants to keep him. Ramos wanted him 2 years ago and Sevilla moved for Kanoute only because Berbatov snubbed them.

You lack the information here pal, you're talking shit.

Obviously you're Berbatov's boyfriends or something so maybe you ought to tell him to start earning the money we are all paying to him because no-one will gamble £25m on a moody gobshite.
