Massive game this. Now the scum match is off it presents us with a great opportunity to close the gap to 3 points with two games in hand.

Come on Conte! First away PL win for us with you in charge please.

The way Southampton play, they really do play into our hands.

If they push up and leave space in behind it could be a bit of a goal fest (for us).

I imagine it will be son, Kane and bergwijn. Lwb is the issue for me, I can't see him playing reguillon again, because he is probably knackered. Doherty will probably feature and winks/ndombele.

Pity sessegnon is injured.

Was very surprised conte didn't take regulilon off. I doubt he will now start against Southampton

Night and day, the squad is totally rejuvenated. Two months ago, I’d have Hugo, Dier, Romero and Skipp as the only guarantees on my team sheet. I was screaming for under 23’s.

Now I’m wondering if Romero will get a game. Winks filling in for PEH and the subtle change in style he will bring. Bergs for Harry ?. A total 180!!
OMG I love you Conte?

Moura has to start after today's performance. Winks might get a run out in the middle, with Davies likely to come back in at CH, otherwise as you were.

As only 48 hours between games, its probably easier for Conte to play the same 11 as against CP. Keep momentum but we could also see 4/5 changes but that could be risky against a buoyant Saints.

Conte said in his presser he's worried about losing team's identity
I doubt he wants to make many changes
Maybe Doherty and Davies as WBs

I can see Doherty getting a run out, but Reguilon may have to stick it out for an hour or so.

Given Southampton are fairly progressive and like to press I wouldn't be too surprised if we switched back to the 352 that worked so well against the Liverpool high line. Would also be a convenient way of rotating our midfielders.

Either way, fully expect Lloris, Dier, Reguilon, Kane and Son to start and probably Sanchez too. Whether we go with the 343 or 352 we will have plenty of options to rotate by bringing in some (or all) of Winks, Dele, Ndombele, Bergwijn, Davies and Doherty.

This is just the most beautiful post, seeing where were just 4 or 5 weeks ago! Totally rejuvenated squad, everyone pulling in the same direction and still only a work in progress. Love conte what a genius!

Yup it’s massive to put pressure on them! Then we play Watford whilst they play city so we can be level on points with 2 games in hand on them! Epic

So when do we start hearing about Covid cases in the Southampton camp, there is no game without the thrill of "will it go ahead or not" lately

I think any team with injuries, which lets be honest is most of them, will be calling for a cancellation every bloody match now.

They'll put in an application to postpone 17 minutes before kick-off when we've already laced up our boots.

Been searching the net, but haven't seen any rumours yet. They have Covid in the camp, so there's a realistic chance of them getting more. Wouldn't be surprised if that happened, but seems very likely the game goes ahead.
My guess is the Saints want the game played and it will be.

Is the game only shown live, or do they repeat it later on?

103 players/staff tested positive in latest testing, so probably soon!

That’ll be going into our game against them as well.

Could be 3 points clear with two games in hand by mid January if it all goes well.
