Quality line-up. I'll be very disappointed if it isn't us on the front foot from the first minute. Good to see Bale and Zokora have been dropped. What has happened with Hutton? Is he injured again, or what?

i was wondering that about Hutton! Maybe he picked up a knock playing for Scotland in midweek.

Good result, we look suspect at the back a bit.. but 3 points is 3 points.. Great disappointment in the fans sarcasticly cheering Gomes when he gets the ball and yet they are the first to complain when he messes up, hopefully he can build on this CS.

Really good team performance. Great games from Lennon and Huddlestone. Fantastic for the back five to get a clean sheet. Sloppy performance from JJ and Bentley seemed a bit off the pace, maybe trying to hard?

On another day we'd have scored a hatful. Result the important thing, though. After the check to our momentum last week, it was important we got back into stride. Nice goal, too.

Don't be fooled by Alan "Arsenal" Smith, we were very comfortable today, and completely outplayed Blackburn. We were never under any pressure. The Spurs fans weren't cheering ironically, they were cheering genuinely. The media are just trying to make as much as possible out of Gomes few mistakes.

I think it's great to have a player like Bentley, who can deliver great crosses and is a master of set-pieces (even though he hasn't exactly showed that every game) and I do think he has been improving under Harry.

But. I still think he makes a lot of wrong choices, and he thinks about himself too much on the pitch, can be quite selfish.

Lennon, Huddlestone and Pavlyuchenko all played very well indeed today. Huddlestone fought brilliantly in midfield - closing down well is something we failed to do until Harry arrived. It goes without saying that his passing and shooting was generally pretty good too. Pavlyuchenko holds the ball up so well and has a great touch to boot - he will get better and better as he develops an understanding with his team-mates.

Could we play 4-4-2 at home and 4-5-1 away (with Modric) from here on in?

what is that all about ? we had a little wander through south in the 2nd half to try and get some reasoning, but nobody seems the slightest bit concerned that the sarcastic stuff is not going to help the man, if he thinks the fans are not behind him to get through this spell then what hope has he got - spurs fans you are as much to blame when it goes tits up and you start this childish chanting and jeering, its embarrasing, wait till other clubs start taunting about our lack of support to our own player, laughing stock again.

going home now.. by our own

Lennon best I have seen him this season, won us the match. Good games from Huddlestone and Corluka, and I thought Woodgate at the back was immense. We seemed a bit slack start of second half and at times I wondered which team had 10 men. Win was important as was a clean sheet. Must give us more confidence.
We deserved the win, and 2 or 3 goals for us would have been justified.

Lennon is almost back to his best. It was great to see him causing mayhem again. I'm disappointed we didn't get the 2, 3 or 4 goal win I thought we could get. We just couldn't find the extra killer touch and Samba and Nelson were pretty solid against us again. We miss that extra spark Modric can bring. Oh well, it was still a pretty good performance especially the first half. Hopefully we'll make up for the lack of goals today on Thursday!

To be fair, not all fans were engaging in this and after those cheers were made, i could hear words of support coming from the sensible fans although it was no where near as loud as those cheers..

To get behind the keeper you've got to cheer when he does something good. It wasn't sarcasm, it was the fans trying to give him some support.

When is the last time we ground out a 1-0 win to be fair? I think Reading away last year. They aren't always beautiful, although we didn't look threatened by an anemic Blackburn side, but sometimes you need a 1-0 just to prove you have the toughness. And Gomes getting a clean sheet can only help his confidence going forward. Would have love a 3-0 but love the points and closer to the top 10. COYS!

Im 50/50 on this.

But I think the point is, was that he was being cheered for doing such simple things, merely catching the ball - which followed by the crowds applause made it look like an achievement.

I dont know, but he clapped to the fans at the end, so I can only presume it was not sarcastic and just morale support.
