So who thinks Chimbonda will start the next match as a centre back?

Good to get a clean sheet, thats the first thing we needed to do, not great but a good start for Ramos, lets hope we can get all 3 points saturday.

dissapointing. I was expecting minimum 3 tonight and a solid defensive display. According to beagrie they had a couple of guilt edge chances and they hit the bar. Robbo looked shaky but did make a top class save

As promising as he is as a footballer, Kaboul has a hell of a lot to learn. He has so much positives in his game but unless he learns positioning and awareness, he'll never be a premiership centre back.

Yeah, like hopefully thats the last we see of Kaboul

I think Kaboul has more potential than Dawson. He still is young and not had that many games in the Premiership.

I hope we see lots more of him, and in midfeild as well

Ramos took him off not long into the 2nd half because he was shit, he replaced him with Tainio and moved him to right back and put Chimbonda in the centre. He's not gonna mess around is he

Ramos saw fit that he was replaced with a CM, he was that bad.

Turned out to be a good decision

kaboul must have been pissed off. being subbed for a midfielder is almost as bad as subbing a sub

I think Kaboulwill be good but he's been thrown in straight away and his lack of experience and confidence is showing. You guys need to stop criticising him so much, in time he'll come good but isn't ready just yet.

some harsh comments on kaboul. Hes young and will get better, he has looked promising but far more like a midfielder as has been mentioned.

Yeah I said that a few days back, to me I think he would be naturally better as a centre midfielder, the sort that Ramos likes, tall, strong and aggressive. If Ramos is as good as everyone say's he is then he will notice that anyway eventually.

The most important was to win the game today. Some players did not have their best game today, but an off day in a game we win is ok. Tottenham did the job, and a win was what we needed now. Things will improve.

Now, I'm impressed with that. No fcuking about. MJ would never have made that call. Hopefully the players will react. As he gets to know his squad better, and gets a chance to change it as he sees fit (along with DC) he'll be even more likely to ditch someone that's underperforming.

Did we look better for it..?! Was Chimbo any more solid?

Sounds like a typical Robbo performance. A clean sheet is good, though he really needs a good game at the weekend. IF he struggles again, I think his days may be numbered.

Does anyone know if Kaboul can speak english? I can't remember ever seeing / hearing him speak! I agree with most that the boy has talent, but its probably a bit much to chuck a 21 yo straight in with plaers he doesn't know.

We should try him in midfield, he does more in midfield from center half then the current occupants!
