Poch draws horrible, vicious cartoons of our youth players, and wraps them up in sausage meat, and calls them sausage munchers.

To be fair to Poch a lot were slating him for our attitude and weakened team in the League Cup. Although you can say this is League One opposition.

You can have an opinion mate, that's what these forums are for, it's just not qualified and holds no authority.
I don't see what's wrong with just accepting there's a very qualified guy with more knowledge of our youth than everyone on here combined, who has decided not to put any youngsters on the bench, most probably for very good reasons.
Agree to disagree mate, it's for the best.

Well John McDermott is a very qualified guy and has more knowledge of our youth than Poch and I'm sure he believes they're good enough for the first team, like re: Onomah. I'm sure he thinks the players he has coaches and developed are good enough to appear on a bench, after all he has produced Kane, Townsend, Rose, Smith, Carroll, Livermore, Mason, he knows what good enough is. I'll def side with McDermott he has history.

Either way the original point was you saying that an academy player on the bench means we aren't taking it seriously, I disagree.

I am not saying we shouldn't be letting academy players get a spot on the bench, I am simply saying that Kane playing isn't a problem.

The fact we aren't putting academy players on the bench tells me that Poch either doesn't trust them enough or he isn't willing to take a risk on letting one play in a cup that we are taking very seriously now that the league has gone.

That's just me taking a guess though, I have no idea what his reasoning is.

My bad, and I agree I don't have a problem with Kane starting. Like I said if we aren't producing players good enough to feature on the bench against AFC Wimbledon, we might as well shit down the academy and reinvest the money used on it annually on our actual squad. It's clearly not doing the job it's supposed to

It's completely irrelevant as it's not his job to pick the first team mate.

There are cameras there, for the highlights. It's just not on TV.
So when are they going to show the highlights? There's nothing in the BBC schedules.

I can't beleive that they couldn't find a broadcaster anywhere in the world that would take this match.

Winks' injury concerns are a worry, with Dembele at worst being semi crocked or at best being unable to play two games in a week it could lead us to playing Wanyama and Dier or Wanyama/Dier and Sissoko a few more times. Looking at fixtures we've got a mid week Utd game and CL games coming up, those two potential partnerships are horrible and I really think we need to look at bringing in another CM this window.

I like this selection. Drawing against West Ham was a knock to our confidence. We don't need another tight match, we need to show that we can put a team of bus parkers to the sword. If we can rack up a cricket score here it will get the demons out of the player's heads.

Normally i'd be in favour of resting players but we play Everton (who will park the bus) next. Then we go to Southampton and face Man Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal and Juventus in quick succession. That is not a set of matches we can afford to go in to with our confidence low.

Apologies for butting in on what looks like a private argument and not reading anything before but ... if he is so good at Pickett he first team why isn’t he the manager instead of the ‘less qualified’ Poch? Answers on the back of a postage stamp please

Ex-players can be awful on commentary.

3min in: "It's the start we expected from Spurs".

Presumably meaning that we are playing football and not, for example, creating a human pyramid in the centre circle.

Edit: oh it's Andy Reid lmao.
