Still such an inability to control the flow of a game. I've said it before but central midfield is such a massive problem for us. Unfortunately we can't see the full extent of just how bad as of now without Lo Celso and Ndombele featuring.

This is the only thing that worried me about not adopting Nuno's 3 at the back setup, I still can't quite establish a style or identity within our play.

Settled into a similar pattern to last season's games. As soon as arsenal stepped up (the pitch) we lost control.

Dropping too deep, can't hold it up/play it out. We are still in desperate need of a midfielder who can keep hold of it and pass it.

Also shows the weakness of Lucas and Dele and son who are giving the ball away as soon as we get it forward.

This is the first friendly I have seen, and I know it’s a friendly, but my goodness we are poor. I really see no tactical difference. I know it’s still very early but was hoping to at least see something different.

Our midfield drops so deep when we’re defending that Arsenal pick up the clearances from our defence and build another attack. This is no different to how we played under Jose. These players just aren’t good enough to play out from the back, going to be a long painful season. Anything less than a drubbing next week against City will be good result.

Like having Jose in charge no ability to play out and no idea how to keep possession

Alli has been poor but worked harder than all the rest of our team

Never seen a Spurs team as I have in the past few seasons lacking so much technical ability. But it seems like the fans now have turned away from flair players and our identity given the rubbish they give NDombele. They would prefer a clogged in midfield than a maverick.

Last 20 mins have been pretty dross.

Do think Skipp has been very good defensively, though. Such a menace.
