There's a strange little part of me that wouldn't be surprised to see Winks start. I actually think that this could be a better game for him, than Sissoko.

I doubt it, I think Sissoko will be given the job of stopping Ceballos from spraying the ball about.

Is Jose playing mind games with the injuries in the build up to the match on Sunday?
Last season we played a 442 vs the woolwich wanderers and sat deep and played direct to the strikers. If we were to do this again could Vincius, Kane and even winks have been rested?
I’ve been thinking the same with 2 up top... would be right out of nowhere

Chap on Twitter (lol, I know) called Paul OKeefe and who is considered a reputable 'ITK' has strongly implied it will indeed be Hart tomorrow not Hugo and that Toby is in contention but isn't 'match fit'.

Think the fact that Spurs mouthpiece Alastair Gold dropped the Tweet about Hart means it's probably very true.....

Buckle up.

Santini is the reason Jose coined the park the bus phrase, when we played them at 0-0 at SB we literally stunk the place out, our fallbacks didn't even get past the half way line, wasn't surprising that Levy sacked him soon after, seriously negative manager lol

Remember this:

I was there (in a hospitality suite no less), and I am pretty sure we had at least one big chance to win it, in the second half. Robbie Keane hit the post or maybe forced a great save.

Dude, if OKeefe is ITK, that is, knows somebody, anybody, on the inside of the club, even the cleaning lady, then I will delete my account and go supporting Arsenal for a year. He is an impostering moron sadly with access to the internet.

Santini wasn't sacked, he walked out.

Then Frank Arnesen arm-twisted Levy into promoting Martin Jol, whom he had wanted to be head coach before Levy insisted on getting Santini.

I'll only feel confident if I see Lloris, Alderweireld and Kane in the line up

let's be honest while people are raving about our excellent transfer window, we only signed two nailed on starters (PEH and Reguilon) the rest are squad players.
Spot on!

Sort of ignoring the fact that the one player everyone has wanted for years is a back up striker so we can get the best out of Kane which we managed to achieve.

I always thought Jol was the man Arnesen wanted and Santini was brought as a pre agreed short term manager as a big name to appease the fans

That's how I saw it and thought Santini left when he realized Jol was the long term plan. I thought Santini was there for Jol to learn from before taking the main job.

Ledley King says in his book that basically Santini was trying to tell them to do it one way while Jol was on the sidelines in training telling them different. Arnesen wanted Jol from the start but Levy had promised the fans a big name after they sat through half a season of Pleat.

That is correct, except for the "pre-agreed short-term" part. Arnesen wanted Jol and Levy simply overruled him, because he rightly insisted that the fans would have his head off if he appointed an unknown manager from a minor Dutch club.

Arnesen kicked up, so Levy indulged him by allowing him to get Jol in as an assistant head coach. Santini lasted 13 games and walked out because he didn't see eye to eye with Arnesen and Jol was contradicting him in training, presumably with Arnesen's backing. He also reckoned certain off-the-pitch agreements had been reneged upon by the club. It wasn't a short-term appointment, but it was a bad fit. At that point, Arnesen finally got his way.

EDIT: Santini's Wikipedia page says this: "Officially, Santini left England due to personal problems, but it was widely reported that a series of disagreements with then Sporting Director Frank Arnesen led to his departure. Speaking in 2005, Santini said he quit partly because he felt agreements with the club were broken, but he admitted he 'dug his own grave' by agreeing to join the club before the end of Euro 2004."

How exactly do you know it wasn’t pre agreed?
You could very well be right but only a handful of people would know if it was pre agreed and I seriously doubt you are one of them

We all know what usually happens when we are in good form and we play a team in terrible form that need a win. Still going to go for a Spurs win though. I feel we are a different beast now, hopefully.

Toby's been out for 2 weeks and back in full training yesterday so not sure how he would not be match fit.
