De Bruyne had alot of time on the ball from what I recall, but couldnt do much with it. I think when we play how we do with 2 banks of 4 behind the ball even the best players won't be able to play any kind of killer ball in behind because there's just not the space.

Our biggest problem against Liverpool won't be the front 3 directly but the fullbacks, you saw it today, all Arsenals good chances came from crosses on the wing, if we let TAA and Robertson have that freedom then we won't be keeping a clean sheet. I fully expect Jose to start the game with Sissoko doubling up with Aurier on the right and Moura or Bergwijn on the left trying to prevent the fullbacks overlapping.

Stop TAA and Robertson and you stop 90% of Liverpools attacks.
Is that what Villa did?

You're right, same from Chelsea, Reece James was their best player. Something we need to work on next few weeks.
Lampety as well against Brighton.

Our team is grinding out results we have not done consistently in years but since Jose is the manager, people still are being negative. The poster who is saying if teams played like Jose's we would all stop watching, I'm sorry but you need to start paying more attention. Jose is not a one-trick pony. Look at the different ways we have won this season, the only time we sit back is in big games but even then we show better moments of attack than most teams.

We are second in the league in shot creating actions only behind the 500m pound Chelsea squad. We are 4th in the league in goal creating actions and 6th in xG. I know people hate stats in this sport but if you can't tell by watching (which it seems some of our fans can't) then maybe the stats can help you understand we are not a Burnley long ball type team even though the media likes to portray Jose as that.

I will full admit in big games when we take a lead, we drop the block and keep the lead. But would you rather play all out attack and give up leads so we lose those games? If so, I can't help you. But when we play teams we should beat, we show a great attack and so far it has been a joy to watch this year.

But he's right though isnt he. He isnt saying our stats arent good at the moment. He is saying people wouldnt care to watch our recent games and I agree. If its your opinion that if you wern't a fan you would still watch over other matches then thats you. He's saying it isnt good to watch and I totally agree, but I watch as I'm a Spurs fan who is enjoying the results.

Gooners confidence will be buoyed by their europa win; our snoozing on Thursday will hopefully mean we’re now wide awake for the NLD.. don’t see it being a classic but I do see us winning by a two goal margin with Harry being on the scoresheet - as long as his wife doesn’t go into labour tonight! Think Dele will be on the bench again, alongside bale. Rodon instead of Sanchez? Looking forward to it all the same.

Good call mate! :)(y)

Literally the complete opposite of having an agenda, as she is completely bang average. She doesn't offer any insight into football which fans don't already know - it's absolutely predictable what she's going to say every time she speaks.

So in that way, she's the same as 90% of current pundits, most of whom have no place commenting on top-level football. If you're not going to offer any kind of value then I don't think you belong in that sphere. She's just another Leon Osman.
Well sure, that's your opinion (insert Jeff Bridges meme here). What type of value are you looking for? Neville and Carragher style video breakdown? Keane indignation and grumpiness? Jenas personable and well-spoken?

Then again, if all pundits were offering amazing value, they would, by definition be...wait for it....average.

She's hot, she's not totally biased nor a blathering idiot. I don't see the harm.

Alex Scott was asking a valid question to 2 people who have played in midfield, but of course someone can turn it around that she has no insight. But of course, they are all against us arent they?

What on Earth are you talking about? What valid question? Who is against us?

I've got no idea what you're on about, I gave a very simple description of why she's a bang average pundit. Because she's a bang average pundit, of which there are absolutely loads.

Let's be honest about it, someone like Alex Scott doesn't sit there because they expect her to have much insight.

Just remember Arteta played mind games this week saying that Partey wouldn’t be fit for 6 weeks. He played today and was fucked on the second goal to the point where Arteta tried to push him back on the pitch as we were about to score our second goal. He’s out now. Arsenal never had any chances like the two goals we scored, it was awesome counter attack football. We finished them and they clowned around trying to unlock us which they never even came close too let alone score goals like we did with such breathtaking arrogance. We actually preserved a lot of energy for upcoming games with that second half. Why is that? Because we won it in the first. An inexperienced manager throws a player in and then proceeds to throw everything at the game and loses the match and a player. The experienced manager wins it in the first half, conserves energy the second because he realises there are more championship winning games coming. This counter attacking football is as good as I’ve seen from a Spurs team. This defensive football is the BEST I’ve ever seen from a Spurs team. It’s not for everyone and that’s ok, possession football was not for everyone either, but what it is is winning and that should be for everyone and it certainly is for me. I’ve never seen a north London derby where my heart rate was lower than 50bpm. Today was that day and long may it continue. We should absolutely have our opinions and be able to express them but let’s remember that the eleven players and the squad too are working harder than ever to get what we all want. Success. It’s coming. Enjoy it.
I agree. However, I have to express my awe of you having a resting heart rate below 50bpm! The last time my heart rate went that low was during my last general anaesthetic....

Sure it wouldn't hurt but the entire essence of Jose's philosophy is why risk losing a 2-0 lead to win 4-0 when it means you might draw 2-2.

After drawing 3-3 with West Ham after bringing on Bale we, of all teams, should remember this.

You might not like it which is fine - that's just your opinion - but it's hard to deny the effectiveness.
Exactly! And he even said as much in his interview with Spurs TV.

My favourite part of the game was the fact that we didn't need to do anything in the second half. It was almost as if we had an almost dismissive attitude to them. It was as if we said, "Look, we're 2-0 up, you lot couldn't score in a brothel, and we've got a big game on Thursday. We'll see the game out thanks." To be able to do that to THEM after so many years of us not quite manging to beat them is an amazing feeling.

In the past we'd have gone at them full pelt in the second half and maybe we'd have smashed them for four, but there'd also be a decent chance we'd fuck things up. Personally I think we got it right, and if this attitude translates into silverware at the end of the season, then Jose will have been proved right. After all, I kind of thinks he knows what he's doing by now.

She's there because of her looks. About time people admit that it's blatantly obvious.

Total sexist bollocks. She's a decent pundit, equal or better than many men who have been pundits longer than her. Also most pundits are pretty green in their first few years, before growing into the role.

As I said just above, this is utter sexist bollocks without foundation.

No it's not, if she was ugly i guarantee you she wouldn't be there. Why are all the women they use for football presentation attractive?

You're just one of those politically correct numpties who can't bear to admit the fucking obvious.

Decent pundit?? Haha..even women have commented on her vacuous inanities offering little or no insight whatsoever.

The only people who think she's a decent pundit are those that know fuck all about football.

why don't you people say Jamie Redknapp is invited on because of his good looks even though he chats absolute drivel pretty much 150% of the time?

why do people still choose this hill to die on?

Nonsense. Not only is she trained in tv presenting and commentating, she also has a degree in Journalism and Broadcasting, has a few years experience working in tv, her playing CV speaks for itself. Alex Scott is one of the best pundits out there currently.

I know the idea of women being involved in football might seem scary and new, but apparently they do make up 50% of the population and I've even heard that some like football and are quite knowledgeable about the subject.
