Biggest test for Mourinho and the team so far, to see how we're shaping up for this season.

Great result against Utd, but let's see if we can back that up with another big result.

City started weak against Liverpool and then grew in to the game. I think our best bet tomorrow is to try and take the game to them, hopefully get an early goal and then play them on the counter. I'm expecting at least 65% City possession and for them to have the majority of the chances, but I don't think they're unbeatable by any means.

Haven't we only lost twice to these lot in the last few years? Knocked them out of the CL, and last season we beat them at home and drew at theirs without even being arsed.

Our full strength XI should be able to beat anyone on their day.

We surely are capable to beat them but I think some are bit forgetting how lucky the wins against City were. I'd take another lucky one too but its not like it was and will be an easy ride. They were incredibly wasteful the last years against us.

I'm actually more nervous because I think we have all the tools to win whereas normally when we play City I'm not greatly nervous because I don't expect much.

A draw would not be a bad result, City are still a fantastic team. I don't think they should be underestimated just due to recent form. A win would be so good though and even more so because of the run of games we have.

Really big game. It is not season defining just yet, but will be a big statement if we win. The top of the table is very close, but by New Year I think those capable of winning the title will begin pulling away.

Really hope we don't lose this on a simple error.

Or shit refereeing or terrible VAR decisions...

Interesting stats regarding both teams players from the International break. Spurs players had a lot of assists:

Son - 2
GLC - 2
Bale - 2
Winks - 2
Kane - 1
Sergio - 1

Man City players had a lot of goals though:

Torres - 3
Rodri - 1
Foden - 2
Dias - 1
De Bruyne - 1

But Spurs had 5 national captains:

Lloris - France
Aurier - Ivory Coast
Kane - England
Bale - France
Son - South Korea.

This has got 0 - 0 written all over it, right?

when did Bale start playing for Les Bleus?

Thinking about this game-there is no reason why we can't get a good result. We have players who are on par with city players. We have a squad just as strong and a coach just as wise. I believe I'm right in saying...Mourinho has a good record against Pep long may that continue.

I'm confident we'll win. We always play well against this lot (for the most part), and have a good win record against them in recent years. I don't know why the bookies have them as favourites, look at our team and how good we've been this year. We should not be the underdogs against anyone in the Prem right now. They should fear us!!! COYS!

We’ll have to play a lot better than when we beat them 2-0 last season. I also remember under Poch that we got completely and utterly outplayed and somehow escaped with a 2-2 with 2 shots on target

I cant see a draw in this one city will be desperate for a win to start closing the gap and taking advantage of liverpools injury crisis and we will hopefully catch them overcommiting for the win.

Draw would be a bit of a disappointment considering the run we have coming, need as many points as we can, if we get through this run still challenging we could really be in for an exciting season.

God knows which way this will go. I think I will depend on which Man City turn up. We’ve looked solid this season. But last two games against bottom of the table teams we’ve struggled to create. Hopefully city will come at us and we can play the counter attacking football which we’ve been great at. I can’t decide. Win draw or loss??

I’m copping out. Can’t decide.

If Liverpool draw with Leicester, or beat them by no more than 8 goals, and we beat Man City, we are on top of the league for a whole week!

I will however accept any result as long as we do not lose!
