Not read through all the comments so it may have already been mentioned.
Just started to watch the whole match coverage and you have to question Sky coverage, when PEH passed to Tanguy from the free kick we were being shown Guardiola on the touchline so we missed the taking of the free lick and Tanguy's pass, it was only when a replay was shown that you actually saw the Tanguy turn and pass, rubbish coverage by Sky yet again.
100% THIS! They also do replays when the game is actually in play. They should leave replays until the ball is out of play. Also very irritating is pointing the camera at some ex footballer or celeb in the stands while the game is being played. Really makes me angry

This close up of managers, players, the bench seems to be a thing.
Noticed it increasingly to provide talking points for the commentators
while play is going on.

That would be fine if they were to show a 2-second shot of the manager/player/bench to confirm what the commentators are discussing and then cut back to the game. Instead, especially if the ball has gone out of play, they are lingering for 10-15 seconds on a static shot of men sitting still while the commentators speak at length, often until well after play has restarted. They are missing interesting and key bits of play and it is happening multiple times in every game, across all broadcasters. Yesterday, they missed the entire buildup to Son's goal.

Just watching the game again and reminded me of something I forgot to mention at the time. I like Micha Richards and feel he is one of the best unbiased pundits out there but that penalty shout, wtf was he on about at ht? 'I've watched it 20 times and, (reluctantly) I think it does hit his arm, and he's probably got the decision right, but it's so harsh.'
Eh lol???

Liverpool are playing at Brighton on Saturday lunchtime so we will be back to playing catch-up as is our usual way.
Southampton play twice before us against Chelsea
(home to Wolves tonight and away to Utd just before us on Sunday)
so we could be down to 3rd.
Take a draw now, it's only game 10.
I think we can beat Chelsea but fear we might not.

I'm not bothered by the exact position of us in the table this early, just by the point total. If we are in 5th but 2 points off the top, I'd be delighted this early in the year. I wouldn't be surprised to see us 4-5 points off the top come Jan 1 just because of our schedule but with the games after this hard run, I see us making up any lost ground pretty quick.

If we are touching the top slot in the New Year might JM persuade Daniel to loosen the purse strings for a special player ?

He's speaking as an ex-player and fan, he's imagining being in that situation in which you didn't mean it to touch your arm so you kind of look at the sky frustratingly. Of course he knows that the rules state that shouldn't matter but he's putting himself in the position of the player.

To be fair, the Man City back 4 missed the entire build up to Son's goal too, and they were on the pitch.

would be great as manager when the incumbents usual sell by date runs out

As much as I loved Ledley as a player for us, he’s had zero experience in management, he’s only just started working as a coach. If he’s left the club and gone off and proven himself at smaller clubs, then by all means. But otherwise, no.

It's always intrigued me why people think good players will be good managers. The game is littered with quality ex-players who have been abysmal as managers and others like Ferguson, Clough, Mourinho (Edit; Klopp, Wenger) who didn't set the world alight on the pitch but had a great understanding of the game, tactics and man management.

Spanish football’s obsessed with this. For some reason the directors there like to randomly cut to 20+ second reels of first touches and flicks from half hour earlier, even when the ball is in play :ROFLMAO: Europa League is pretty bad as well but not CL weirdly
