Could've just patted him on the back, even a high five. But grabbing his knob is a step too far. :wideyed:

Ok, after a little research, last time we were top for a whole week or more was Christmas 1984 until first week of the New Year. In fact we even beat Arsenal at Higbury on New Year's Day to stay top above Everton until 12th January 1985 when Everton went top after we drew with QPR

You can use the arrows either side of the round number to step through the table round by round at the link below

What a result. Exceptional performance from every single player too. We made their very defence look very expensive indeed.

Also, I knew good ol’ Deano wouldn’t let us down, best ref in the world :sneaky:

I don't remember him at all in that 2nd half

For all the structure and technique they have if De Bruyne doesn't play well they struggle.

That's very poor considering the attacking midfielders and wide attackers they have.

Watching the replay of Lo Celso's goal, I see that Bergwijn makes a very intelligent run toward the centre of the area and drags the second defender away from Lo Celso. Great teamwork, epitomising the whole performance.

Despite no goal involvement I think Bergwijn was fantastic today. Possibly even his best game for us.

Watch the first goal again and you will see Kane dragging the centre back away leaving space for son.

I actually thought Bergwijn played very well
