We played well I thought. And City were just ok. A draw would have been a fair result. Sadly our players look jaded and lack belief in themselves. I hope with Dele back and Eriksen and Winks growing in stature we might get back our cutting edge.

That said, the Kane konundrum is getting worst every game. He is a shadow of the player he was a year ago. It might be sacrilege to suggest he gets a rest, but perhaps that wouldn’t be the worst thing. Give Son a run of games up top, and have Harry come off the bench. Just for a few games to help him rest and rejuvenate. Throwing him out there time and again is not helping matters.

Oh, and as much as it pains me to say this... I thought Sissoko wasn’t a complete and utter horror show tonight. In fact, it seems a touch of increased confidence has done him a world of good.

Positive it was only 1 nil
Negatives LOL Men v boys

Bordering on a club in crisis, farce over the stadium, comical transfer window, diabolical individual and team performance on the pitch, woeful team selection and tactics, and manager whom appears incredibly pissed off.
Agree but there was no transfer window just to point out sorry.

We are shit. We carry too many players that are shit. For the same things to keep happening, from the same players, is not acceptable. We need wholesale change and we aren’t going to get it. I’m getting really fucked off with a certain group of people now, to the point I’m not even that against even Lloris or Pochettino going now.

Overreaction of the century or what ?.
We narrowly lost to a great team don’t be such a baby

Didn't get to the game tonight and don't usually get into the match thread but I did tonight, fuck sake I won't make that mistake again.
So many shit players having shit games in a shit season apparently and here's me thinking Manchester City are quite good, so many opinions on this thread so I'm not going to add mine, what's the point?
One thing occurs to me though, I wouldn't be surprised to see tonight's bench all start on Wednesday.

Slightly disappointed we didn't get a result tonight. Also slightly disappointed Lamela didn't get any murders.

Before anyone starts, Sissoko wasn't MOTM.

He just gave the ball away marginally less than he usually does.
With the ball, sure he's never going to get it right frequently. But don't downplay how much he helped out defensively and prevented City getting in on goal. There was plenty of occasion where he used his initiative to get into a good position, not only that but he bolted back as soon as we lost possession. With Dembele waning we're going to need him.

Couldn’t agree more. We are depressing and infuriating to watch. Some of the stuff that’s been going on has been nothing short of disgraceful.

our game management is shocking sometimes it really is and it costs us time and again. we always joke about our corners but not sure what we work on in training tbh. it's back to the harry days of just running about a bit with no real plan.

love lamela though, wish we had 5 more of him. guy just fkin hates to lose.

Nope. Players making mistakes left, right and centre means one thing only.

Poor finishing.
Had me off my seat but Kane looks no where near his best and needs a rest badly, if he wants one or not

Well now. Difficult to take but there are signs of life. We're a shadow of the last couple of seasons but I still feel things will clunk into place as the season progresses and we'll get something from it. COYS!

What? Could have easily been 4 or 5 nil
We could just as easily have won 3-1 or 4-1, it could have been 3-3, this wasn't one of those games where we got done hard from behind with someone pulling on our hair and slapping our bumcheeks.

I know some people wanted it to be. But it wasn't.
