I made Richy my MotM, so many terrific performances from back to front especially Udogie and Son on the left but Richarlison worked his socks off going forward and in defence and the two goals made it for me.
Terrific game, Ange changed it considerably without changing what we do, go forward and keep trying to score. We put more crosses into the box, across the six yard box from wide and even from the byline than I've seen all season, a real change from Thursday. Sonny had Trippier spinning for a lot of the game, a joy to see.
Good to see Pape Sarr back too he moves so smoothly, such an expansive player.
Really enjoyed that today 😊
Read Richy as Matt Ritchie which did throw me a little.

Yeah - I thought Johnson had his best game for us today. Real attacking intent when on the ball, not just pace.

Yeah a couple of great efforts at goal.

Great pick out for Sarr.

Took his man on more and generallly played the ball into the box quicker.

Was just more direct and decisive all round, definitely his best game yet.

We also need to be careful - we had lots of room to run today. We still need to figure out how to unlock the teams that sit back.
That was always going to be the biggest challenge for Ange, especially after we started the season so well and found teams doing that so early.

But given time to work on it, Maddison back in the side and further signings better at playing that way, I have faith we’ll be better against defensive shit. Like West Ham.

I’ll be candid: I’m not ready to judge (a bit) Ange yet. I feel he’s played to our strengths whenever he’s been able. But I hear where you’re coming from
I think he's made the most of a squad in a way that a number of previous and much better paid managers haven't.

He's ahead of the game already for me.

Back on track with an excellent performance and it could of been even better if we didn’t waste more chances.. One thing I mentioned earlier about the atmosphere Thursday being flat and it seemed the same today even with such a superb performance. Think fans need to remember what was being served up last season and just enjoy the football we are seeing. Maybe it’s to do with the amount of tickets going up on exchange again compared to the start of season when we were winning every week.
Also another factor are fans travelling from the sticks. There was a knock on effect with the railway strikes which coincided with the overtime ban (which is on Sunday).

Additionally, the train lines in the south west like the GWR have had flooding and the South Western Railway have been affected by land slips.

I know a lot of STH who’ve been affected by this as well as just the time of year with Christmas coming up and finances having to take priority.

Respect to Davies today. As an older player without the pace of some of his teammates, I reckon he played very well. In fact, I’m not critical of any one player today. Good team performance.
Davies is limited but good lord he puts the effort in.

When he celebrated that interception at 0-0 I wanted to hug him.

Thought all round that was Richarlison's best game since he joined. More of that please.

According to Ange he's now injury free and the operation has meant that he can play without fear or any pain.

Looked a completely different player, with or without the ball.

Must keep the team the same until Madders, Bentancur and VDV return.
What do they, along with Vic and Kulu, have in common? They were all viewed as plan B/cheaper options. The usual complainers complained and now imagine the squad without them.
