I know I’m VERY Anti winks but I never want to see him in a tottenham shirt again. He is a Sunday league player conference at best
As I said earlier, he wouldn’t make the staring 11 of any other top 6 team but somehow he is a starter for us. Not only that he survived mouthing off to the press at least twice. Should have been sold summers ago.

Wow just watched Villa v Leeds. Coutinho was class. We can only dream about such a player. Still no doubt the manager wouldn’t want such a slow player who can’t play in defence

Would be interesting to know if we showed any interest in him.
Still top quality.
Him behind Son and Kane
DCM of Bentancour and Skipp.
That would be decent.
(Not taking anything away from Moura tonight. A little in and out but still good contributions)

Many individual mistakes, but surely Conte can see that we have been -- repeatedly, many many times this season -- overrun in the midfield when we play 3-4-3.

It happened 3x against Chelsea ffs.

its no surprise we absolutely bossed Leicester - away - playing with the extra man in the middle

We've gotten away with the 3-4-3 but because of the accompanying performances it's never really looked sustainable. I don't know why we persist with it so much even after really promising performances in a 3-5-2. It's not like our front 3 is so good that's it's not droppable either.

Honestly think West Ham are the best bet for fourth which makes my brain feel dirty just for thinking it.

I saw their fixtures too and I think they've gotten a lot of the 'tougher ones' out of the way. Although they lost at home to Leeds not long ago so they may still have problems too.

This was just one of those eye-opening games really. I was really nervous beforehand as I'd built myself up into thinking we were favourites for top 4 but reality has hit and now I'll just take things as they go.

No, they have been average recently. They looks slow and leggy and still have Europe to contend with. Pretty sure we will finish above

United will get it, they willl get their act together with just enough time left

Arsenal is the worst case for us, don’t need their profile increasing.

One of our best performances if not our best under Conte too IMO, especially as it was away from home. I missed the Liverpool game for what it's worth. I don't get how the setup was ditched so easily after such a display.

Says a lot about where we are as a club, the fact that people are crying out for Dier.

People are writing off top 4 after this one result. Yes it was poor, really poor but other teams around us are also dropping points regularly. We are/will be in this battle til the end. 4th is absolutely possible.

Having said all that I would put my money on Utd

Little chance now for top four. Conte has declared us to be a poor little club with little expectations and now he is proving this. Teams come expecting to boss us
No he's saying it as it is, and trying to temper expectations. People need to start listening to what he's been saying for weeks, this is going to take time. You might not like it but that's how it is.

Joking?

Romero aside, what has Paratici brought to this club that has actually improved the starting XI?
Let's give Bantancur and Dejan a chance. Still early days with them. Gill was bought for the future and Gollini as backup. That leaves only Royal as a player that has failed to put positive marks, yet, on the first team!

I don't want credit for anything. I honestly don't know why I bother if that's what you took from that post. I can't help it if some of you don't listen to what's being said by Conte himself. This is a rebuild and it's going to take time. Temper your expectations because IT'S ALWAYS BEEN ABOUT NEXT SEASON. Until then it will be up and down as we don't have a good enough squad. Conte has said this numerous times, and getting all bent out of shape isn't going to change things. Until we've had a summer window it is what it is.

It’s not what I took from your post mate, I just thought it was funny to say because they’re just both so bad.

You’re absolutely right though, Doherty is a professional and Emerson is a kid playing out of position with very limited ability.

People would’ve disagreed with you because we spent big money on one and they want him to do well. Same reason ndombele and lo celso got a pass from some for nearly three years.

We all just hope we fix the problem come the summer, sounds like we’re already working on it which is great news.

I'd like to see the running stats for the match . Most times a Spurs player got the ball a Soton man was either already with him , or straight onto him .Their players had all the space they needed but we couldn't find any space to play .
They must've substantially outrun us I'd guess .

He was often criticised for not doing his defensive duties and his attitude was so bad we literally had to pay him to leave. No way Conte would have put up with that given how he's treated others with similar attitudes
Maybe so but in terms of technical ability, Emerson is not even close to Aurier.
