It's just fucking lazy. If we lose a game it's not tactical, fitness related, injury related etc. Just 'Spursy' again.

It's far too early to write us off.

We're surpassing expectations. No signings, terrible home ground atmosphere, world cup fatigue, other clubs strengthening etc. Did anyone realistically think we'd win the title this season anyway? Pressure's off now, let's string together some wins and see where it takes us.

We all knew that some players that have played a lot of games would be tired and Poch who’s paid to fix and resolve these problems failed

In the second half he had many choices, KWP could’ve come on for a awful Trippier, Rose could’ve come on for a poor and tired Davies, Foyth could’ve come on and we could’ve match them with 3 at the back, Skipp could’ve come on we looked like we had no midfield

I’m tired of all these excuses, we were 1-0 up in the 70 min....
and when Alli came off we sank, he wasn’t the best on the ball but he won so many balls in midfield today

I don’t want to hear any excuses from Poch, he talks so much shit sometimes

I know the legends tag pisses people off but arsenal and today show why we have that tag.

We can blame freshness but Liverpool don't rotate their team much. We have rotated way more than them.

Hopefully we move on and somehow Liverpool self destruct over the rest of the season

It is one of those tags that come back to haunt us from time to time which undoes all the good work but unfortunately we do suffer this problem and until we get past that the title will always be just a dream.
Liverpool have not just got stronger from actual investment but also their mindset has improved and that is likely to carry them to a league title.

In all honesty, we've got 6 points from home to Burnley, Bournemouth and Wolves. Not good. But exactly what we deserve. Despite the 5-0 none have been very good performances.

This is the thing being overlooked, but it doesn't make good paper.

Might be the difference to be fair, not sure it is.

It might not be - that's fair - however, it would be interesting to see how Poch would fare on a more level playing field. Not that I would want the existing philosophy to be radically departed from but those one or two quality additions could make all the difference.

I get annoyed at us blowing chance after chance after chance with sub standard performances, when it really starts to matter. Can see it coming too, every season!

All those players have played as much or more as the other "tired" players you suggest replacing.

Seriously KWP, Skipp and injury prone Rose who played three days ago. That's who you think is game turning options? Two kids and a tired left back?

I'll say again Lamela, Dier, Dembele and Dier ALL missing through injury is, actually, a reasonable excuse. To suggest otherwise is just petulant whining.

This place has been dead (match day threads) while we've been winning - and we talk about the other plastic fans in this league.

I don't get this as a persistent favourite moan in SC. When we're winning more people are going to be focussed on watching the match and will be too busy enjoying what they're seeing on the pitch to take time out to post on here.

When we're losing people are going to be less inclined to be glued to their screen and watch us play badly; and therefore they'll take more time out to post in the match thread.

I don't see why that should be criticised.

Some people here are actually shocking.... slamming the players like they didn't try or give a dam.

The early goal didn't help, 1-0 up wolves still parked the bus and were hard to break down they were hoping to take the game to us in the final 30 minutes because they knew the amount of game time our x11 had over these past weeks.

It was so obvious the players were so exhausted especially Mousa/Son/Winks. People who were talking about being title contenders are just plain stupid, we weren't good enough last year what makes you think we are this year with a weakened squad due to injuries?

You got to remember Skipp is a baby?.. If Amos and tash booth where fit he'd be behind them even. That's the whole score with midfield injuries.

oakley-boothe has been fit all season bar a minor injury in pre-season, skipp is ahead of him.
