Quite possible, but City and Chelsea will fight them all the way. Wages and transfer fees go even higher.
As for ESL, I was all for it. That was a chance for us to join the big boys.
Next time it comes up, if it does, probably Toon not us who get the golden ticket. We sink further into mediocrity under the dead hand of ENIC property plc.
I. 5 bn spent in the last ten years or so. No trophies, a stadium, a training ground and 700m of debt. Scandalous misuse of our money, as ENIC didn't put in a single penny.
But boy have they seen the assets grow. 80m invested overall, 3bn asking price , you couldn't make it up....
But yep, it's really happened to us mug supporters. Am I bitter, too fucking right I am. But you've gotta laugh, haven't you... ???
Our golden ticket moment has gone mate whether anyone liked the idea of ESL or not.
Newcastle will take our place easily leaving us to battle out for CL with west ham, Everton and villa which gives us more of a chance and if they all have a bad season we might win the league or probably not.?

Only just watching back this game and I have to say Kulesevski did more at no.10 than Dele gave us for the last 2 years. His movement, workrate and creativity really stood out in comparison to the rest of the team.
