Would do Caulker the world of good, two seasons of Premier League experience with Swansea.

Come back aged 21/22 ready to fight for a place alongside Kaboul! Result.

if we do get another CB in then i can see him being back out on loan next season.

I disagree, though it is highly unlikely that harry doesn't take the england job, after his comments in the sun I think he will be here next season and he will used like jones except he will have reached 100 league games as a CB by the age of 20, even rio, terry and King didn't manage thisEek

I think he was at another club he would be on of England's most coveted players but every one knows we aren't going to sell him

If we get another CB (guessing it will be to replace Bassong) then next season we will have

King, Dawson, Kaboul, Gallas, New CB and Caulker.

Not sure we would keep 6 CB's at the club, even with King and Gallas picking up injury's.
I would rather see Caulker be the replacement for Bassong and then he will pick up more game time.

I agree with this but i think caulker would see more game time than the new cb or bassong

If we do loan him out, we will get a situation imo that we have caulker making his england debut and not his spurs debut Eek, the fact that CB's from the lower prem teams have started for the their country, doesn't make this a crazy statement as it seems

Also alot of people will be tipping him for national team after the olympics

With Gallas having issues with calfs, and only a year left on his contract in the summer I can see Caulker being retained, Bassong being sold, and the young lad getting quite a few games. We should have CL football next year, which will require a strong team, so there are likely to be quite a few PL games for him to play in.

Caulker vs Arsenal, playing well today would do his part for us getting into the CL even not at the club.

Gallas has 2 years left on his contract.

I believe you are correct. He was given a two year deal in the summer I think.

Henry's beard was worth the admission fee alone, apart from that his use of the football as with most of l'arse's was poor.

Caulker strolled through the game, used the ball well and defended when he had to. Williams was more in the action (in a good and bad way)

He shouldn't have let RVP get that shot away for their first, and his positioning wasn't great for that second chance rvp went through for, although he showed good pace to make amends.

Was dominant in the air, albeit against poor arial opposition, and he was comfortable on the ball.

Overall id say he played well, an encouraging but not entirely convincing performance imo. Given his age, i was impressed.

This was his 10th (?) game in the Premiership, and he may get another 15 games this season to continue his progress.

The Premiership is played at a different speed to the Championship so he is still learning - he was 20 only a month ago so he is doing pretty well.

Caulker against Arsenal.

Very impressed. Cool under pressure, and Swansea's style puts pressure on their back four. Strong in the air and relaxed with the ball at his feet.
Great game, a five goal thriller as they say.

To be fair for the goal I think it was more clever play by RVP with the little fake prod and then hit. If anything the keeper should of done better as it was at his near post.

As for the second Van Persie chance two things to why it looked like it was bad positioning. Firstly, him and Williams look to spread wide so that both the full backs can bomb forward in the same way that Barcelona do it. Second, Williams actually wondered forward (can't remember if it was with or without the ball) which then created that space where Williams should of been which meant Caulker was left chasing.

He looks a lot more comfortable on the ball being at Swansea and with being a definite starter week in week out he is growing in confidence and maturity. I think he has a big chance of breaking into the first XI at Spurs next season.

Caulker vs arse

After watching MOTD highlights of caulker tonight, it would be a silly mistake to bring him back in jan. He has all the raw attributes and impressed me with his pace. However positionally he has a lot to learn and hell need at least half a season maybe another one playing pl football before we can have him in our team.

He couldn't be recalled this month anyway.
