Is that sarcasm? I for one never hated Liverpool until this Suarez crap, indeed I always had respect for them, Dalglish too. I've been very surprised at how Dalgish has behaved.

For once No, how old are you ?

Asking because I grew up in the 80's when Liverpool won everything and Heysel disaster happened, fans of every other club hated them.

A lot of people might have hated the Liverpool fans because of the Heysel disaster but not the team or Joe Fagan or Dalglish. But how has Dalgish brought back 80's glory? He hasn't won fuck all yet

Suarez is a disgrace, Dalglish is a disgrace, Liverpool as a club are a disgrace and every apologist in favour of Suarez and Liverpool in this affair are a disgrace!!

Fair play to Evra for offering his hand, he's more of a man than Suarez will ever be, respect to him and well done Rio for refusing too shake Suarez's hand after Suarez rebuffed Evra.

From the BBC:

Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has apologised for not shaking Patrice Evra's hand before Saturday's game at Old Trafford. Suarez told Liverpool's website: "I have spoken with the manager since the game at Old Trafford and I realise I got things wrong. I've not only let him down, but also the club and what it stands for and I'm sorry. I made a mistake and I regret what happened. I should have shaken Patrice Evra's hand before the game and I want to apologise for my actions. I would like to put this whole issue behind me and concentrate on playing football."

Is it just me who reads that as an apology to the Liverpool staff, rather than Evra?

Just seen this on the BBC as well:

More from Liverpool now. Reds managing director Ian Ayre has just released the following statement: "We are extremely disappointed Luis Suarez did not shake hands with Patrice Evra before yesterday's game. The player had told us beforehand that he would, but then chose not to do so. He was wrong to mislead us and wrong not to offer his hand to Patrice Evra. He has not only let himself down, but also Kenny Dalglish, his teammates and the club. It has been made absolutely clear to Luis Suarez that his behaviour was not acceptable. Luis Suarez has now apologised for his actions which was the right thing to do. However, all of us have a duty to behave in a responsible manner and we hope that he now understands what is expected of anyone representing Liverpool Football Club."

So Liverpool are finally letting him know that he's not in the right.

Time for Dalglish to come out and admit Suarez was wrong. Once that's happened hopefully this whole sorry saga will be over.

Liverpool have made themselves look like a joke club in the last few weeks but this may finally be the first step in the right direction.

Finally, Liverpool as a club are trying to make up for their recent arrogance and incompetence.

Many Liverpool fans on Phil McNulty's BBC blog were trying to say it was actually Evra who removed his hands. Shows just how stupid and myopic they are about Suarez - which the club need to take a lot of blame for.

Also Suarez only apolagised to Liverpool club and not Evra and only because he had to.

It would be nice if Dalgleish came out and apologised too - but obviously that won't ever happen.

They are a few months too late. Had they taken that line in the first place, alot of the aftermath would have been avoided.

Good to see them finally react to the situation but they still have a lot of work to do getting the message across the ignorant minority of Liverpool fans.

Some of the abuse that Stan Collymore gets on Twitter is disgusting and its all because of this silly siege mentality that Dalglish has created.

Its also opened the floodgates for other idiots to racially abuse some players on Twitter, Micah Richards has shut down his account because of the abuse.

And no mention, let alone any whiff of criticism, of the ringmaster in all this; untouchable King Kenny himself.

Suarez may have been the perpetrator of much of the mess Liverpool have got themselves into, but it's his manager who's acted as his apologist, spokesman and shit stirrer in chief for his actions.

I hope the Liverpool fans trying to make out it was Evra who wouldn't shake are feeling suitably embarrassed right now. They've been nothing short of embarrassing throughout this saga.

Ooh, everyone hates us. Idiots.

http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/latest-news/kd-we-all-have-a-responsibility-1

Liverpool Manager Kenny Dalglish today insisted Luis Suarez is right to apologise for failing to shake Patrice Evra's hand at Old Trafford.

"Ian Ayre has made the Club's position absolutely clear and it is right that Luis Suarez has now apologised for what happened at Old Trafford," said Dalglish.

"To be honest, I was shocked to hear that the player had not shaken hands having been told earlier in the week that he would do.

"But as Ian said earlier, all of us have a responsibility to represent this Club in a fit and proper manner and that applies equally to me as Liverpool Manager.

"When I went on TV after yesterday's game I hadn't seen what had happened, but I did not conduct myself in a way befitting of a Liverpool Manager during that interview and I'd like to apologise for that."

:lol::lol:

What the hell is going on at Liverpool? They're making a fool of themselves, from the manager to Suarez, to the fans.

But at least they are having a good season, 7th place, 3 points behind Newcastle.
