No matter how talented, he's a very hard player to like, he is an absolute serial pest. The bloke shows blatant disrespect for the rules of the game and his fellow players. As much as some fans like the idea of winning at all costs, I prefer the winning with my head held high. He can stay where he is.... some may argue it's when he best fits in.

Am I getting this right ? Are you saying it's ok to talk about people 'behind their back', just don't do it to their face ?

Well, ideally, don't do it at all. However, it's always advisable not to tell someone you think they're ugly (especially in public) because it may upset/humiliate them.

so to summarise this thread

1. we all think suarez has some ability
2. we all think suarez is cheating scum.
3. most of us agree making nasty comments about fellow yids just isn't cricket
4. hot-spur can rest assured that theres still people viewing her profile with their mouse in their left hand ;)
5. and sir henry should just remember to put a cheeky smile on the end of harsh comments so said comments are taken the wrong way, and then we wont end up arguing completely off topic for hours
6. suarez looks special

Seriously guys, I maybe in the minority here but I think Suarez is massively over-rated. He is nowhere near World class as he is so easy to mark out of games, the hall mark of a truly great player is that they make an impact even on bad days, Rooney, Messi, C. Ronaldo, Xavi, Inestia, Silva, Aguero, etc. all do this, Suarez can't.

Not really to do with being female, more picking on someone's (anyone's) physical appearance.

I dont think you read enough posts with comments from girls. Intelligent conversations all over the site, with only occasional sexual frustration getting the better of posters.

Oh, and we are all horny 14 year olds inside:wink:
Better than all being inside horny 14 year olds!

Couldn't agree more. He blames his team-mates for his own failings. IMO a world class player when his team is down, picks it up by his own performances.

He too could have been sent of if the otherwise excellent officials had spotted his "clothes-line" on Parker or his blatant dive for which he was awarded a free kick.

To echo Bombers request (never thought I'd type those words), does anyone have a clip of the incident?

Certainly not in the minority, I made the comment in the ratings thread after people had been waxing lyrical about him in the build up to the game. I was disappointed that our scouts/Redknapp decided against him because he is similar to VdV, they should have decided against him because he is actually not that great.

No, I agree with you 100%

Suarez is a good player but no way is he on the level with the ACTUAL world class players you have mentioned there. I wouldn't even put him in a list of top ten strikers in our league let alone world football.

He was poor yesterday and although he took his chance well which was ruled out he didn't look remotely troublesome to us reall, nor did he at Anfield towards the end of last season.

He is a busy player and he has skill, as well as an eye for goal but thus far his goal to game ratio has not been overly impressive and I certainly have seen nothing from him that makes me wish he was in our ranks (unlike Rossi, Aguero , Cavani or Falcao for example)

I think he gets raved about above his station, by the media because Liverpool are always inflated by their ex pros on tv and anyone who plays remotely well for them gets creamed over...but also on here by the anti harry posters who can't wait to beg the question WHY DID HARRY NOT SIGN HIM every single time he scores or has a half decent game.

Good player yes, great player no (not yet certainly) and we need to stop focusing on him as if he is relevant to us. We had an interest in him ok but we never made a bid for one reason or another (plus he would have still chosen Liverpool even had we made a bid) hence he has never been a Spurs player and posts regarding him should be in general football.

Let's face it, it didn't matter how good he is, yesterday we were so good we could have tea bagged his nan and he could have done f**k all to stop us.

As I mentioned it was supposed to be light hearted.

I made the mistake of including a female in a prodominately male football forum as one of the lads, I thought she would have been able to suck it up. Lets leave it there now please ?

Even if messi played for Liverpool yesterday he would've looked shit, simply becoz of the shear amount of ground he had to cover in isolation
