Arsenal are being heavily linked to Mkhitaryan today. If they signed him, on top of Vardy and Xhaka, they'd probably be favorites to win the league.

If United were smart, they'd go in for Mahrez to play on the right. Martial-Zlatan-Mahrez is enough to probably enough make you title contenders with a competent defense, which they have (joint fewest goals allowed last season).

It's going to be a really tough season, as all the top teams are going to spend heavily to buy the best players not at the biggest clubs in the world. We're going to have to get our transfer business spot-on to be in the title mix again next season. We can't have any more Njie type signings that have no impact. .

Vardy potentially going to Arse...

and now there are reports from France that PSG are chatting with Kante and offering to trigger his release clause.

Would leave Mahrez, who i am sure someone will go in for by the end of the summer.

LCFC getting picked apart by the wolves....
However much we hate the foxes, that's quite sad. Shows the big money boys will always win in the end

Where is Mkhitaryan going to play though? You can't have him and Ozil in the same team, way too similar, and want to play in the same areas. Can't see either wanting to be on the bench much.

Marhez is not a Mourinho player. But Utd will have a brilliant squad on paper by the start of the season

See this isn't true, Mourinho has worked with plenty of players like this; Hazard, Ronaldo, Ibrahimovic, Robben, Cole and etc.

The issue with Mourinho he doesn't like to have more than 2 players that aren't great at tracking back, Mata was sold because Hazard was found to be better. Same goes for Kaka, Robben and etc.

That was largely due to injury- could happen to any signing.
Whilst I agree with you on your point, he isn't the type of player we should be signing imo

We cant afford to develop players when we have such a big squad otherwise it will hamper another players development, which is a big issue with a big squad

Similar to this issue is the fact that he is too raw of a player for us to develop. Someone like Lamela despite having a disappointing start was a good player to develop as he had been a professional player for a while whilst someone like N'Jie who has only one season under his belt needs to be playing week in week out like Mahrez did for Leicester for 2 seasons

So if the Spatial One decides to sell Mata - again - how would you fancy him at WHL?

People getting worried about big names and big transfer fees to other clubs will do well to remember Mangala £40m, Otamendi £30m, Di Maria £60m & Depay £20m all huge money, all hugely disappointing. I know players like Martial have also been successful but there's as many flops as there are success stories these days with big moves.

Then look at players like Mahrez 500k, Kante £5.6m, Alli £5m, Payet £10m & Alderweireld £11m. All in the PFA team of the year last season. Big names and big fees do not equal success.

If we learn anything from Poch it's that it's more about that player fitting a system, philosophy and even personality for a collective group.

See Aulas is quoted as saying he wants to sign BenArfa from Nice, suggests to me Fekir could very well be moving on. Also reported a while ago that Tolisso would prefer the EPL to Italy (Napoli were after him) with Arsenal his favourite, but now they have signed Xhaka, we'd be a very decent option for him and he's exactly the type of CM we should be looking at. Dilligent, energetic and can move the ball (more forward passes and key passes than Dier and Dembele) and tackles more than Dier and intercepts more than Dier and Dembele.
