Burke = £13m? Da fuck...
Must admit I'd never heard of him before, but his goals and assist record over the last 3/4 years is certainly impressive. Anybody know why no 'bigger' clubs wouldn't have been interested in him?

Earlier this summer he was linked to Roma. And more recently to Fenerbahce, but they wanted a loan.
Twente are just emerging from a long-running financial dispute which has seen them deducted points (twice, i think), and banned from European competition, but the team still survived in the Eredivisie so the KNVB relegated them (subsequently overturned). All of the directors involved have been fired, new ones brought in, some of them have left.. it's been a real mess.
All because the previous board got involved with Doyen Sports agency. It helped them sign some players they never could otherwise, although I don't think Ziyech was one.
Maybe other clubs were put off having to deal with the club in the middle of all this. Or Twente is quite low profile, finishing bottom half, not playing in Europe and not being Ajax or PSV.

What do we know about Arsenal's new signings, Lucas Perez and Shkodran Mustafi?
From my limited knowledge, the latter seems to have a top class pedigree and reputation, but the former is a little bit of an odd purchase. I'm not a fan of Spanish football so I don't really know either of them.

He's been useless at Arsenal, but Middlesbrough are no defensive mugs, so maybe he'll rediscover his Southampton 'promise'. Never known why they spent so much on him, to be honest.

It was all the rage that summer to overpay for Southampton players.
He was very promising and playing well at 18-19 but you can never know how it's going to pan out. Main thing is he's young enough to rediscover that promise if he gets a solid run of games.

It's to do with the doyen qroup that owns his rights.. there's been a lot of controversy in last yr or so.. makes signing him very complicated.
