I've been really impressed with Jacob Ramsey at Aston Villa this season. He looks a really talented dribbler in the middle of the park and possibly the Dembele replacement we need. Every time I watch Villa he stands out as having a lot of elegance and positive thinking.

I agree, he looks quality. With him and Bellingham the future of England’s midfield is quite exciting

He's quality.

But we wouldn't be able to afford him and I doubt he would even want to come here.

Agreed.

Academy product, clearly loves the club, Gerrard there and they seem to have ambitious owner's, three more years on a deal. Can easily see him buying into thier project and cringing at where we are in our timeline.

Looks to be a great CM bombing forward. 6 goals already this season.

Three players from the Bundesliga we should go for:

Borna Sosa (LWB/LB at Stuttgart) - wand of a left foot - probably the best crosser of a ball in Germany and I'd say his delivery is right up there with JWP, TAA, etc. Hard worker and physically solid, pretty decent defender as well. Won't be there long.

Nico Schlotterbeck (CB at Freiburg) - out of contract soon, left footed CB, repeatedly extremely impressive.

Taiwo Awoniyi (ST at Union Berlin) - Liverpool youth player, been on a bit of a path to find a home but settled in really well at Union. Monster physically, good hold-up and link-up play, solid finisher - doesn't get a ton to work with but very efficient.

And for what it's worth, Tolisso is out of contract this summer as Bayern are letting that run out. Entering his prime, would be a good pickup.

What position would you see Tolisso playing and in who's spot ?

I also like Patrik Schick.

Just woke up thinking it’s quite scary we have to spend £80m on Romero & Kulusevski before we even get started. Although I guess Kulusevski can be deferred to 23/24.

I’d go back to sleep. It’s not like we won’t structure 2-3 of our potential summer deals in the same way, deferring them for another year too

We need a flexible attacker and I really think we should go all out for Nkunku.

His record this season is insane but not only that, he can play in multiple positions in attack. He could play alongside Kane and Son or Kane and Kulusevski and he could even play centrally with Son and Kulusevski off him.

Will cost big money but would essentially kill 2 birds with one stone for us, by giving us top quality competition for Son and Kulusevski whilst also giving us an actual rotation option for Kane.

If we're serious we will back Conte and get him to convince players of this quality to join his project.

If Nkunku leaves then there will be much bigger clubs than us in for him. His numbers this season are crazy.

Oh and for CM we have to sign one of Bissouma or Neves. Two top class CMs in the PL.

Bissouma almost certainly available for £30-35m due to his contract situation and Neves probably £50-60m.

Agreed. Has Madrid or even City all over him.

Phillips, McGinn or Kessie would be cool

What's Dan-Axel Zagadou like?
Contract ending...big guy...has pace...left footed central defender.
Has had a serious knee injury.

No one should trust most of the Portuguese media, but this is the best CM option that I think we could realistically get, especially if a midfield two is the plan. Has played his best football in a 343 and Amorim also uses a lot of automations.

Probably the best pure athlete I’ve seen in a CM in terms of his stamina, agility, and power on and off the ball for some time. His range of movement is incredible. All of these attributes as well as the manipulation of the ball are major reasons why he’s so good as a dribbler and as a carrier. Fearless defensively (not the most polished). He can switch the play well and will move the ball efficiently. Not a creator with his passing. His progressive carrying is the main source of creativity and shot creation for himself and others. Ball striking excellent, should be scoring a bit more although always a threat. He seems to have an excellent understanding of positioning and game flow when I’ve seen him in the CL and vs Porto/Benfica in the league. Fantastic receiver of the ball (back to goal, first outlet during a transition on the turn, deeper during build up). Needs to work on left foot so he can add variety in build up and his play ahead of the ball with occupying and recognizing attacking spaces(not as worried about this due to how Conte would use him, but something all midfielders need and something Amorim is tasking him with more recently). Not active enough in possession when he doesn’t have the ball. His athleticism really helps defensively, but not a clean ball winner yet. But will position himself well when defending.

Again his role in Amorim’s system is about as close to his potential role here as there is. Guardiola praised him before and after their CL tie. Now I’ve basically described an athletic and durable Ndombele. And tbh that’s genuinely what I think he is to an extent. It’s just that some finer technical aspects are still a bit rough around the edges. Whereas Ndombele was super clean with his technique in general but especially in tight spaces. Personally, to me experience really shouldn’t be restricted just to players in their prime. Nunes impressed in the CL this season and won the Primeira last season as a key cog in Amorim’s system. Impressing again this season in the league too. Ideally you want most signings to be young players who have experience at the highest level for where we are as a club. Conte could see differently, but this is what I want. And at 23 he’s shown more than enough. Athletic profile which on paper is perfect for the prem, ability with room to grow much more, experience, age.

I don’t think he’s good enough. Incredibly loose with some of his play.
