Hope we try to sign Tielemans. There is just no better team in EPL for him imo. If he goes to MU Mourinho will waste his talent. Poch is the perfect coach for him. With Toby, Verts and Dembele he should settle fast too.
Likely going to Monaco, or another one of the European sides known for developing youth.

How on earth are people disagreeing with this?? You haven't said son hasn't been fantastic for us

Exactly I'm not discrediting Son at all, he has made massive improvements from last season but come on bias aside Mane is a better player. I've seen Mane play against all the top teams in the league and he has always performed, not just with goals but he is always involved in the build up play. Son is a good player but sometimes he drifts out of the game and comes up with a goal and everyone forgets and when he has a bad game he tends to misscontrol the ball and fails to make basic passes but he rarely has a bad game.

Same thing people say about Dele.

Don't know the point I am making, but yeah.

;)How much Fifa have you been playing
For me, I think wimmer, bentaleb, sissoko, Janssen, Gnk and possibly Davies will be sold.

This will generate £80-£90m.

Then we need to add quality:

Jonathan Tah £25-£30m. (CB)

This gives us Toby, Verts, Tah as the 1st choice back 3, with CCV being allowed time to develop as a sub and Dier adding cover.

Sessegnon (LB) to be understudy to Rose.
Tierney as 2nd choice if we miss out on Sessegnon.

Tielemans (CM/AM) £25m - offers competition to Eriksen and Alli, adds pace and creativity and can cover in midfield also.

Son and Lamela with Edwards being brought in slowly adds great depth.

Batshuyai £30m to put pressure on Kane and offer a more physical option to us. Adds pace and goals.
Unlikely that Chelsea would sell to us but you never know.
Think he's a real talent and will the other Belgium lads, bring in London already and Poch can develop him further.

Alternatives? Dolberg is interesting and would suit our style of play.
Lacazette would be ideal but will probably be too much for us with the other clubs interested.
Plenty of choices out there but probably the hardest one to get as so many clubs want good strikers.

These are the types of players that can improve is, are young, hard working and would fit in with the type of team we are imo.[/QUOT

I was going to suggest that buying the best available centre half in Virgil Van Dijk and signing a goal scorer from the wing in Michael Antonio would really complete our squad. If they replaced Wimmer and Sissoko.

But reading through some of the other threads on here, especially about the differences between us and Chelsea, I'm now thinking that going all out for whoever the next Hazard is would be the icing on the cake for us.

Having a player who could pick the ball up on the half way line, knowing that no one is going to stop him getting the winner in a game we need to win.

I think we are at the point that we need a Robben / Hazard type player. And that we can attract these types of players with how well we are now doing

So simple.

It's a lot more simplistic than any other transfer window we have gone into.

Barring a player from our 1st eleven demanding a transfer away, I'm struggling to think of who I'd like to see us sign. Our players a nearly all no1 in stats for their respective positions.

In years gone by people would be calling for half the squad to be changed, and the manager, and the chairman.

God, it would be a nightmare if we got Antonio. Again enough of these big fish in small pond signings. He wouldn't be able to do the job for us and would probably cost around £40 mil too! For that price you could buy someone with technique, vision and skill rather than some bloke doing a Tim Cahill impression.

For me, Christian Pulisic from Dortmund as well as a CB assuming Wimmer is leaving. Pulisic will probably not go anywhere but he could play on either wing now and would be the perfect understudy to Eriksen. Maybe some American bias but what he has done both in Champions League and Bundesliga at 18 is further along at that age than any of our players at that stage.

Will Kyle Walker-Peters be ready to be back up to Walker next season? I know Trippier has been awesome with his delivery from the right, but if KWP is first team bound then could be an idea to sell Trippier whilst his stock is high (probably get £12-15M for him). I know a lot will disagree with the thought of selling an understudy who has shown he is worthy of a run in the team, but with the stadium costs this is the type of sale that would make a lot of sense. All depends if KWP is ready or not, I know the club have high hopes for him.
