After the disapointment of not getting an AC Milan ticket my attention is now focused on our evening game on Saturday

With us potentially having an injured list of

King, Kaboul, Hutton (recovering)
Modric, Huddlestone, VDV, Bale

(Which could be argued to be 7 of our best 11)

I would go for:

Corluka Gallas Dawson BAE
Lennon Wilson Jenas Pienaar
Defoe Crouch​

If any of the above injury list is fit I would place them into the 11 above (unless of course there is a high risk they could aggravate any injury before our Milan game)​

Kranjcar deserves a start after that goal for us last Saturday and an impressive midweek performance. He can be our Pav of the 2nd part of last season.

I would be tempted to make pienaar and lennon swap wings during the game. Lennon is starting to look good on the left tbh he should be scoring more goals from that left wing cutting in. Hutton over charlie, offers so much more doing forward.

Niko must start. No defoe from the start because we know he rarely appears in away games.

Sunderland has pretty pacy attacking players. If we start with dawson we could be in for a torrid time. We also need combative central midfielders. So My prefered line up will be

Pav will be able to outwit their thick central defenders. Crouch will once again be outjump out-paced by their CBS despite putting in tremendous effort.
