Despite what people are saying, considering the awful pitch and clearly weak squad (Hudd and Parker in middle is nowhere near first team), I think we've controlled this half well. Sunderland are playing a first team squad and we''ve been passing the ball around them nicely, not easy on such a shit pitch.

Dawson, Hudd (mistake apart) Ade and Gomes decent

Caulker, Dempsey, Siggy must do better

Lots of energy from Parker but not excactly sure what he is really doing.

Overall difficult conditions, some don't want to be out there.

However Ade maybe surprisingly, has really applied himself.

Glad to see we're getting into our groove as excellent fans in the pre-season.

Calling our own players 'shit', 'prick' etc.

Keep this up chaps and by the time we get to the first game of the season we'll be truly ready to lay into Paulinho and Chadli as soon as they make the smallest mistake. COYS!

And the worst of it is...when you point out this nonsense in 6 months time, when the 'shit' player they've been abusing comes good they claim that you misunderstood them or some other slimy dickish weaselly excuse

"A backpass to Gomes almost goes horribly wrong as the keeper slips, but is able to recover and control the ball"

The problem with Hudd is that he is far too slow for the Premier league, if he makes a mistake he cannot recover. He has never lived up to his potential since joining from Notts Forest and he has had a lot of opportunities. Time for him to move on and I doubt it will be Premiership team.

What's interesting is that people are taking this really seriously. It's pre season just enjoy the fact that the spurs are on. We are playing our 3rd and 4th choice cb, 2nd choice LB, missing a whole midfield (Sandro,Dembele and Paulinho) oh and of course just a little lad called Gareth Bale. Add to that they are playing with flippers and snorkels on.

If anyone is negatively judging any of our players based on this you need your heads looking at.

not to mention the lake covering 1/3 of the pitch

loving Daws though

OK loads of quality missing but still not a bad set of players.

Enfield have you used this game as an excuse for an early drink or something? Settle down, you're making a fool of yourself.
Am I?
It's more my problem with Huddlestone's attitude. The first post was in the heat of the moment.
If you want me to explain then ill be happy too.

Aside from that I've just repeated what I've said all season about Caulker and made one other comment about Dawson hoofing it...?

Huddlestone has one bad touch and is getting crucified because of it. He actually has been playing pretty well and his passing has been decent.

Do a lot of you guys just go round effing and blinding about everything all day? Or is it just when it comes to watching Spurs that you have to rip the shit out of everything? Blood pressure must be through the roof lads!

Have a snickers.

Huddlestone is over-weight, he's been lighter, slimmer, quicker, and more nimble in the past, since he came back from his injuries he's been larger, slower, and less agile. You can see it every time he has to change direction, like a fat man, if your weight isn't already moving one way then you just can't do it. So no, not a myth, the myth is that it is a myth that Huddlestone is merely slow, but normal weight for his size.

I've always been a fan of Hudd, because he has great technique and wonderful passing with both feet, but this is true. It's a shame that such a good footballer is hampered by such an un-athletic frame.

Well, that one mistake has taken off 1 million of his sell value. Levy is not a happy chappy

I can't say I agree with that tbh. He has just picked the ball up and rolled it on 2 yards to the next man. Parker has done exactly the same but people aren't claiming he is controlling the game.

Huddlestone has been outpaced every time someone has run at him, has continued to be very slow on the turn and is seriously lax in control. I realise the conditions are poor but that was a horror mistake from Huddlestone, and is something he does too often irregardless of conditions. I know it is preseason but that is troubling.

Wooooahhhh!!! I never said he was controling the game lol! I just said in these conditions he was working it well! Sometimes all u need to do is make those 2yard passes! And tbh i think parker is doing well at this as well! I like the fact hudd is coming back to the defence to get the ball. It stops dawsons long cross field balls and gives us options.
I will not defend his first touch it was poor! Very poor but tbh thats the difference between a gd player whos first touch is normaly gd! And a great/world class player who very very rarely has a bad touch!

I think everyone needs to take a step back and look at it for what it is.... A Friendly and a first real test in poor conditions.
