I really do wonder what the hell Hoddle is on about...he's ruling us out of the race for the top four if we don't replace Defoe....

Another good result and another performance that is a step in the right direction. We have yet to put in a complete 90 mind under TS but can't argue with league results right now.

I will judge him at the end of February after a run of tough games when his management and coaching skills will be really tested.

Do we judge him on wins like today or cup games like Arsenal and West Ham?

Lots of room for improvement and to progress but for now Sherwood has steadied the ship and kept us in the race for the top four.

Just a side note, but does anyone else wonder why Lloris sometimes doesn't push the ball sideways when someone fires a shot at him? Twice today he pushed it right back in front of him.
I think I remember the shots you were on about today. I think it was slightly to do with the fact that those shots were moving all over the place at pace. He was probably just happy to get something on it

Although Hoddle does speak some shit, we could make a huge mistake letting Defoe go with no replacement. Anything happens to Ade in last few months, you've got one goal from open play Soldado an Kane left. Imagine us needing a goal in the final game to make champs league and only having
Kane on bench. I too like Bony, just look at his scoring record!

Heard on Talksport today:

Before TS we had the lowest shot/goal conversion in the league.

Over his previous 5 league games we had the highest.

Probably something to do with creating proper chances rather than shooting from distance.

Bony to me is a player with pace, a good eye for goal and as proven today can hold the ball up well. I doubt we could do a deal with Michu out injured but that is the kind of player we need rather than an old style center forward like Benteke. IMO.

I thought Bony was excellent today, why were we not looking at this guy in the summer?
The guy is a beast and would give ANY defender a hard time.
