We need Townsend back. He is our most dangerous player. He came back and played that under 21 game a couple of weeks ago and then not even in squad. Any updates on fitness?

I don't have a dislike for any Spurs player other than Sol the bastard. But when they're not playing well other avenue's are to be explored. Playing people out of position has been a common occurrence all season, When has Lamela or Sig played anywhere but their natural positions all season. Naughton left back, Vertonghen LB, Capuoe CB, some of these enforced some not. Daws is a good player but he needs a leader next to him otherwise his tendencies to charge and miss overtake him. Lennon can be a spectacle in his own right but when he's bad, he can be a liability. If Lamela is being dropped for lack of form so should Lennon.

But when Lamela wasn't doing it Lennon and Townsend were waiting in the wings. Now, the serious alternatives to Lennon are not fit.

I've got a season ticket above and behind the goal, when Townsend shoots I am the one in danger-so I guess I agree with your statement...

Regarding Lamela's fitness, i guess we will just have to wait for the training pictures to show up mid week before we know if he is still out. Would imagine that that at best he might make the bench. The one positive to Lennon and Soldado's sub standard performances is that when Erik and Andros are fit they should both be given a proper shot a tying down a first team spot.

So its either change formation/personnel or continue and believe form will come? My opinion is (and I'm usually wrong), go for something different. Now watch Daws clear two off the line and Lennon score a hat trick against Everton!

Townsend can then come on for soldado or chadli and play as an orthodox left wing forward, if he's fit

Fucking joke our injuries/medical team, why do our players take twice as long to recover than every other club in the world?

Lennon and Siggy must not start, both are in shocking form

I think if Dawson cleared two off the line, made a goal saving challenge and scored the winning goal he'd still get blamed for something. Probably his fault Soldado is not scoring, due to Dawson accidently throwing away Soldado's lucky pants or something.

He needs Kaboul next to him, that I'm certain of. Then people would love him again. He's not a natural leader, but now I think of it. Who else is there?

When there is very little info on a player and their injury its usually a sign that there's more to it than meets the eye.

I suspect Lamela has been taken out of the firing the line and has been given time to settle here without the pressure of performing in games in the here and now.

bless his cotton socks. He must be on 60,000 a week for the pleasure

Just noticed that Everton havent won away in the league since December. Theyve been held recently by Stoke and WBA and then hammered by Liverpool.

We are long overdue a big home performance. Although il settle for a scrappy 1-0 win lol

Lamela is still on pysioroom as returning on the 12th. That hasn't changed from a couple of weeks ago I believe so until that time has passed and we've seen/heard nothing I would prefer to believe that than entertain any bullshit about Sherwood not fancying him/Spurs giving him time to sort his own head out.

What is his best position? Serious question, ive no idea.

I don't know, because I didn't spend last season watching 100 hours of Roma like most of the forum apparently did (as well as watching 100 hours of Valencia). But what I do know is, his best performance for us so far came from him playing much more centrally.
