What is his best position? Serious question, ive no idea.

Right wing/forward (different to right midfield) with the license to roam thus being mor a roaming centre forward or attacking midfielder with a free role behind/off the striker. Although the majority of his goals come form cutting in from the right wing position. I don't claim to have watched all of Romas game last season, just a few and this is how I interpreted his play...

Just noticed that Everton havent won away in the league since December. Theyve been held recently by Stoke and WBA and then hammered by Liverpool.

We are long overdue a big home performance. Although il settle for a scrappy 1-0 win lol

going from that sods law will say they will get something from the game lol its the Spurs way.

I had never heard of him before we were originally linked to him and so my only knowledge of him was through the endless Youtube vids.

Apparantly at River Plate he started out as No.10 and having seen him play I think given a free role behind Ade is where I would like to see him used.

I don't think this will sink in until some are shown pictures of him in hospital, holding a placard reading "Hi, I'm injured" on it.
I put Lamela in my team because I want to see him in it. The truth is nobody knows what injury he has, other than something to do with his thigh, its perfectly reasonable to suggest he could be fit by Sunday. Will he actually start? probably not.

I don't think Sandro will be fit to play

That's a bitch. Do you know something we don't, Breezer? I know you get info from time to time.

He's been back training a while now and I think he played in a friendly with Paulinho and Verts.

Not regarding Sandro no. But read this earlier today:

“Sandro is still out and Andros is still out but others are all coming back now,” he said.

“Jan [Vertonghen is] back, Younes [Kaboul] is back [and was on the bench], Sandro we’re hoping will be back very soon, and they’re all like new signings.

“When they’re all fit we’ve got loads of numbers.”

He added: When everyone’s fit we’ve got a nice blend. We didn’t want to add to it because we didn’t think we needed to.”

Jan Vertonghen and Paulinho returned to the starting line-up against Hull with the latter scoring the equaliser against the Humberside outfit.

And Sherwood paid tribute to the Brazilian midfielder.

“He’s a good player, isn’t he?” Sherwood said. “He’s obviously just coming back from injury.

“He had a couple of development games before coming back in, now it’s up to me to select what I think is the best team"

Agree with most of that - I talked to a Roma nut on twitter and he described Lamela at Roma as playing as a right sided auxillary striker playing alongside a central striker with a no 10 behind the central striker.

So using Spurs players it would be :

.............. Eriksen
Lamela Adebayor

He apparantly took a bit of time to settle at Roma after transferring from River Plate.

At River Plate he played as no 10 - but given Eriksen's form (which has started to look more like the Ajax foirm since Sherwood took over) I'd prder to bring Lamela in as the right sided forward, perhaps playing in Europa League to see how that goes.

Lennon doesn't deserve to start right now. So tired of him getting free passes and always starting when he really doesn't deserve to be.

Paulinho/Dembele together simply because I don't see Sherwood going with a traditional central midfield 3 and I don't know how you could start Bentaleb over Paulinho/Dembele if they are healthy. Kaboul starts over Dawson because a.) If Traore starts he's a better physical presence in and around the box than Dawson and b.) If Traore doesn't and Mirallas/Naismith interchange at striker we need a CB pairing with good mobility.

Really like this, but do you think Lamela will be fit? Even if he is, I would be amazed if he gets on the bench let alone the pitch.
