I wouldn't have Sissoko anywhere near the squad after that elbow he has to be shown that sort of behaviour will not be tolerated at Tottenham
You must be kidding right? Its exactly that sort of behaviour that got us nowhere for years being a soft touch.
We all saw the chelsea game last year to see evidence of us not taking shit, the argentinean dirty tricks have toughened us up thank fuck.
No whether it was an accident or not Im glad we have this is in our locker now it shows we have fight.

I find it very very hard to care about this competition so I'd say pick the team for the Leicester game, where we HAVE to get a win, and then pick everyone else for this game.

You mean the Chelsea game where we completely lost our heads and ended up throwing away any chance of the title?

Yeah that was great stuff.

Ok mate thanks for that it was gone before then with the draw against WBA and it was a long shot before then.
I was refering to us not getting bullied too easily but you obviously have a different view so good for you(y)

Yes I do.

My view is that elbowing players is dumb.

If yours is different then fair enough :)

I know right. Everyone going on about how great that was showing spirit and fight but in all honesty we lost our heads stooped to their tactics in a game we were in total control of and as a result got the home crowd and players riled and threw it away.

I care about winning this game and possibly this trophy(even though its lowest of priorities), but agree with the rest. Any player starting against Leicester shouldn't be starting tomorrow. We have a good squad of players need to use it for games like this.

No they are not they are compiling teams loaded with untested youngsters such as Harrison, Carter Vickers, Onomah and Winks. And it is a ludriocuous suggestion given the opposition we face. If people want us to go out then at least have the decency to say it. What I want is actual rotation, not this weakened team nonsense that is being put forward. We have never really done properly and it high time that we start. The team should include the likes of Sissoko, Davies, Dembele and Dier (in his natural position) and Janssen. Players who have been in and out of the side this season. It's also a perfect game to have Wimmer come in. As for Leicester well if we rotate and mange the squad effectively then it won't be an issue. I'm sick to death of this aburd notion that it is one or the other.

What are you calling his natural position, DM or CB? Cause that changes a lot for starters. If you mean DM where he played last year, then our CB's will be who? Verts and Wimmer? Could work though surely if we're doing rotation as you suggested we'd want to rotate Verts out and make sure he's fit, especially after the knock Toby took to make sure we have our two best CB's for Leicester. So that'd mean Wimmer and who at CB? CCV surely?

And if we do put Dier into CB then who do we play in midfield? Wanyama you'd think would sit this one out since he's played every other game, so I'd go with your suggestion and put Dembele in there, but there's also a case to be made to save him to be 100% fit for Leciester is there not?

I think, rotation wise, we're doing well. Not perfect but well. As for the players people are suggesting, it's not like they're picking players who are completely unexperienced (maybe Harrison the most inexperienced I've seen). A lot like Onomah, CCV, Winks etc... have been around the first team and when they've come in they have done well, so why not give them a game?

Yes, it's vs Liverpool and Anfield in a cup and we'd like to win this cup and win every cup we're in. There's certainly an argument to be made that this is the 'easiest' of the cups that we're in to win, so we'd like to put out a decently strong side. But we need to manage the squad well which we're trying to do and playing our talented youngsters with some of our experienced players sounds good to me.

My team would probably be:

Vorm
Trippier, CCV, Wimmer, Davies
Dier
Sissoko, Onomah, Dembele, Nkoudou
Janssen

Subs: Lopez, Verts, Toby (if fit), Eriksen, Winks, Alli, Son

I take it you want us to go out then
If you paid attention to what Poch has said you would know he would be putting out a lot of younger players or back up players. We have this game , one at the weekend and then the champions league on the 2nd November, so 3 games in about 8 days. Makes sense to use the back up players and others who he might want to give experience to and test out.

Yeah maybe I was being a bit too disingenuous about the competition, as obviously I want us to win a trophy if we can.

But this has to be the lowest priority meaning that we rest players whenever possible.

I was thinking the same but then again who's to say we will beat Leicester even if we rest players?

It's annoying we got the hardest game we probably could of. They won't rest players but we have to give the squad games.

I just don't like us fielding weaken teams unnecessarily. For example, against Palace in the cup last season. Had we played a full strength team we would probably have beaten them and had a great chance of winning the FA cup. A competition we haven't scandalously won in over 25 years.

But having said that, we do have hard games coming up we have to win so if there's one game worth sacrificing a weaken team in its this one!

Kane and Toby out. Edwards out 6-7 weeks. Club accepted the charge so presumably Sissoko banned. Not sure how long. Vorm and N'Koudou already starting apparently. Change your teams accordingly..
