I keep getting excited about this game, then all of a sudden I get a really bad feeling that Dempsey will start the game and I'm on a downer. I hate fans getting on our own players backs but Dempsey really does depress me. Always feel like we're playing with 10 men when he starts

You never know he might just score one of those really lame 30 yard attempts he does after he's turned with absolutely zero momentum . . .

Dempsey will start. AVB persists on being infuriating.

His getting us in to the top 4 and being withing touching distance of the EL semi-finals has really infuriated me too

I'm no Dempsey fan, but honestly i think we need him tonight. He certainly has as much chance of scoring as either Ade or Defoe would.

I would much rather he starts with Carroll over Dempsey. He can create for other players and get involved whereas Dempsey never seems to see any of the ball and as Spurs Lodge Kittens says, hits those ridiculous shots from distance far too often when he does get the ball. We need to keep possession better tonight. Only my opinion tho

I guess you mean Walker and Ceballos. The post was a bit tongue in cheek but those two have the most semblance of wing-play in their game from those available to play.

I would agree with this, but is there is reason for omitting Verts? I would have him in place of Caulker.

We really do need Verts in this game and not out wide. I'd even be tempted to play him in Parkers position in front of the back 4 as Parker suddenly seems incapable of just sitting in, breaking play up and moving the ball on.

I would be tempted to play Dembele or Holtby behind Ade.

I would also be tempted to play Verts as DMC, next to parker, have him bombing forward.

I would like to see Caulker cause he is a very big threat on corners and free kicks. We need every goal threat available...

As much as Dempsey being technically a limited footballer, he does have a knack of scoring goals. Its a tricky one forme on how to use him, do we play him from the start or bring him on from the bench.

Thinking about it, say the tie goes into extra time! I'd much rather Dempsey being on the field, he can take pens and can be a match winner....as mush as people cant stand him as a footballer at present looking at our team goal scorers
