Is Toby definitely out?
Only happy for vertongon to play left back if Toby is fit to partner dier/wimmer. Dier and wimmer need a experienced CB to marshal them as they were horrendous vs Monaco and wimmer was equally bad vs Liverpool in the cup when partnered by ccv.
If Toby is out i would play trippier left back and vertongon and dier CB, not ideal but our best option imo

Trippier is pretty much the worst defender we've got so to play him out of position, on top of his complete inability to even stand in the right place in his natural position, seems a bad idea.

Harsh. He didn't have a good game the other night but he proved last season to be a capable understudy to walker

He's a terrible defender. He's Ok at home against a team that's got 10 behind the ball and he just has to get crosses in. Against a proper team where he actually has to defend he just cannot be selected, he has no idea of a full backs positional responsibilities.

I'm sure there were plenty of comments like this before goons match that, in the end we should have won
I think Chelsea are a very different proposition. They are better organised and have more powerful players than Arsenal. They have improved since last year while we have deteriorated. A draw for us would be an excellent result. As it is, I agree that our unbeaten run is going to come to an abrupt and dramatic end.

I think Chelsea will have improved their goal difference dramatically by Saturday night.

think that was a case of how poor we were v BL, and then playing a team that was playing well

I'm 1 of them that doesn't feel confident about Saturday, mainly due to them flying, playing with pace and our defence is even weaker than it was v the other scum, after a poor performance and against a team we have a terrible record that have had a week to prepare.

I really hope we come out the blocks fast, and press as hard as we did v City, do that and we have a chance, otherwise I can't see us escaping a loss

really? Monaco was the toughest team he has faced playing for us this season, he only had 1 bad game last season and that was his debut

---------------Lloris-------------
-----Dier---Wimmer-Vertonghen-----
-Walker--Wanyama-Dembele-Trippier--
-----Eriksen-----Kane----NKoudou-----

Subs: Vorm, KWP, Winks, Sissoko, Alli, Son, Janssen

Wouldn't convince me ... haven't a clue tbh.

I really think we need Verts at the centre of our defence to stand a chance. I'm hoping GKN can do for us at LWB what Moses has done for Chelsea at RWB.

A bit crazy and untested but I feel we need to try something different.

That's very true and I hope you are right. Recently every time I've gone into a game think that we're going to win easily, it turns out to be anything but. So it's probably a bit of reverse psychology!

Explain Wanyama reluctantly?

Play the kids, we need to rest the players for the Swansea game! They must be exhausted after there excursion going all the way to Monaco on a private jet. While we're at it play Lloris up front and push Dier into the GK position. I'm hoping for 3 penalties, then we will only lose 4-3!

But seriously, this could be awful. We don't look like scoring, play flat boring football and the Chavs are tearing it up at the moment. Can we please have the 'Man City' performance. Drop Alli and Erikssen. Put Dier back in midfield.
