I'm sure Wanyama played as a CB when needed for Celtic, but I'm most probably wrong

Admittedly, Wanyama has been pretty good this season. However, I don't think we will get away with cloning him and playing him in 2 positions. Somebody will 100% notice.

If we're going to clone a player and field him twice, surely we should have Verts at LB and CB rather than playing Wanyama at CB and in midfield. And we might as well have Kane playing off Kane as a front two.

scrap that team or just play CCV in defense, sometimes the young kids have to be thrown in on the big stage, and sometimes it really does work

Cant believe we havent got a highly rated youth ready to come in and fill the left back position with Rose banned and Davies injured. Poch should have been prepared for this. I dont think that moving one of our most reliable performers from the past two seasons in Vertonghen is the answer. Poor playing staff management.

It's a bit difficult to ensure a young player is ready to step in especially when the two players who miss the match have been the only ones occupying the LB role.

High time we go back to the basics and what worked last season. Dier is a much better DM than CB at this point so play him there. Wanyama should be dropped already. He really hasnt been as good as everyone has made him out to be. Just hasnt been as poor as the rest of them, but lately he has been off form and his lack of quality going forward hinders our attack. Definitely a massive ask for CCV but Dier is, IMO, the best DM in the league and will help clean any mistakes up. Have to start Wimmer at LCB with Rose suspended and Davies out. Dembele's strength will be very useful also. I'd play Winks higher than Dier and Dembele but not exactly in a #10 role(I wouldnt be shocked to see Dele start at the #10 though in a 4231).

I agree with the choice of LB, definitely feel like we should ignore Rose's ban and play him anyway

That's nuts, a manager should be prepared for the fact that both players in a position are unavailable at the same time ?

Irrespective of who we put out one thing that's certain is this team will let us down just like all the others in the past.
