Which i think would be a mistake.

I agree on both counts but what I will say is that those players are fluid in that Sandro and Parker will sit and Modric, VDV and Bale will interchange. So while it is nominally a 4-4-2, in reality you will always have the 2 sat back and the front 4 moving around.

Agreed. They are the danger men tonight as far as I'm concerned and that's why I'd like to see two defensive midfielders. Walker and Benni like to get forward and we need some cover to make sure they don't get exposed.

if you play sandro and parker vs romeu and ramires it just clogs up the middle and then there is no space for rafa or modric to do anything. serioulsy besides drogba and mata we have not too much to fear with them going forward. if bale is fit just attack attack attack. if bale and ade fit we win 3-1

I think Sandro would have started anyway but with Defoe out, Sandro is nailed on to start and we will be better for it.
