No matter what happens with their management team this week, they'll be mentally and physically drained after that today.

I expect them to come at us hard in the first 20 minutes but they'll certainly fade, it's inevitable.

For the love of God can we please get through the opening period without gifting them something, if we do that I think we'll take all 3 points.

KWP--Toby--Sanchez--Verts
------------Dier--Winks---------
Moura------Eriksen--------Son

but Poch will probably stick Son at LWB.

The reality is that Chelsea are gonna be there for the taking IF we play this right.

They'll treat it like another cup final but it won't take much for their fans to start getting nervous and potentially turn on the players & manager and the atmosphere will be toxic.

We've generally been a 2nd half team this season so if we can keep them out until HT we can then turn them over 2nd half.

I'm hoping that our loss will give us focus and a real kick up the arse to put on a performance and conversely I'm hoping that their loss will just be another nail in their season's coffin.

Anyone but Aurier at RB please. His lack of concentration leads to dangerous situations time and time again. However Trippier lacks the pace to keep up with anyone they might play on the left wing. Bit of a shit dilemma.

Let’s hope Sarris still there by wednesday. Probably gone though

Only about 52 hours to go before the game starts. I’d reckon he’d still be there for the start but not sure whether he’d still be there by the time the second half starts. It will depend on how many OGs that Luiz and Kepa (if he plays) score in the first half. :cautious:

I hate our right back options. I really don’t think KWP is the solution that others are making him out to be either.

Fairly sure chelsea will be up for this. The’re not playing for their manager, that’s pretty obvious, but they’ll be up for beating us, especially with the history of the last few seasons.

We need to be professional and focused. Trust Poch to pick the best eleven for the task.

I’m nervous af

He’s 22 in a few weeks. He’ll never be good enough without chances to show or improve. The only reason he is not playing is because Trippier and Aurier are highly paid senior players. (In terms of RB) Poch needs to get back that nerve he had when he dumped off useless senior players and put in Mason and Bentaleb.

the weird thing is even though he managed to get 3 assist v Bournemouth, had Bournemouth been more clinical, people would of wanted the lad to go out on loan. if Ryan Frazer can cause him so many problems, Hazard would rip him a new one

We play shit without Eriksen, dropping him is madness - despite him not showing the form he has in the past he is still a key player in the way we function.
Where did I say we should drop him?

I don't think Erricsen has been as wonderful as some seem to think . When he is good he is very good but the very good games are infrequent the majority of his games are rather like the Burnley performance where you almost forget he is on the field. To lose him to Barca or Real Madrid would not be as catastrophic as some would have us believe where as a replacement might not be as good as him at his best the same replacement maybe will be a steady seven out of ten performer week in and week out which in a long season is more valuable to the team.
