This could do us a massive favour. It could be a big reminder to Harry and the board that we still need a second quality forward.

Not to mention putting the squad players firmly in their place about why they are not first choice.

The more senior players didnt look up for it at all and were way off the pace. I dont think there keeper had to make a save in the second half bar Bale's freekick at the end.

Our decision making was truly awful tonight. Can't blame anyone but ourselves though after that wank start. For some players, fringe though they may be, that wasn't good enough if they think they should be getting regular first team football

How many misplaced passes did Corluka make today.

And slowed things down every time he got on the ball. I think he thought WE were hanging on to the lead!

It was patently obvious half the team was a long way short of match sharpness.

Never mind, just hope that doesn't put the brakes on our PL form!

Was absolutely pathetic, made even worse by having to listen to Graham Taylor for 90 minutes. You can shove your Thursday (occasionally Wednesday) nights on channel 5 up your arse, CL or nothing from now on.

I'd quite enjoy the competition if we played a proper team, but watching a mish mash of youths, unfit players back from injury and wasters like Gio over the last 5 matches has been as enjoyable as being anal raped by Sea Biscuit.

All of a sudden my idea to play a slightly stronger side to try and wrap it up in Kazan doesn't look like such a bad idea, does it?

What's the fucking point in that hughy, we'll beat PAOK and Rovers no worries.

A blessing in disguise.

Kane and Livermore have had several opportunities now and are clearly not good enough.

Hopefully we won't see them or Gallas, Bassong, Pienaar in a Spurs shirt again anytime soon.

A bit harsh don't you think? They aren't bad players albeit their performances today were not up to our usual high standards.

You have to remember that the majority of them haven't played 1st team football in a while. They were bound to be a bit rusty and that showed in our slower than normal play.

Of course the result and performance was disappointing but there's no reason to be so critical of those players after just one game.

Last season people were singing Gallas's praises!! He hasn't become a poor player all of a sudden.

Gotta give it up for PAOKs defense. Bloody 10 man wall, just as when Greece won the EC.

Disappointed we didn't win, but it aint the end of the world, it's only the Europa League. I'd rather we focus on the PL and getting into CL next year.
