Against Wigan with 2 DM (in a game you say we were in less control of than the Blackburn game) – 66% possession , 7 shots on target, 7 off, and 9 corners
Against Blackburn with 1 DM - 33% possession , 7 shots on target, 2 off and 7 corners
Just the possession alone shows that a there was a big difference in the games…..
And as for the “'entertaining' the winners of the Championship.” I already have said, it doesn’t matter if you have just come up, or been in the league for 5,8, 10 years, the team coming up may be harder to beat that ones you play most seasons in the league
What happened to your font?
Parker isn't a defensive midfielder by trade though, he just does it when asked cos he's good at it / there isn't anyone else as good as him to cover the role.
He has excellent offensive ability also.
what happend to your reply to what i put up? :duh:
Why are you so aggressive?
Have you had a Stella at lunch?
Were your parents angry?
Did you see the Wigan game? Second half we were Bruce Dyer, with 2 DMs.
Newcastle away we weren't that great, although we were ok, with 2 DMs.
My original argument was that we don't need 2 players in the holding/breaking up play role AT HOME to QPR. Which we don't. :insertgenericroundyheadsmiley:
Walker needs rested at some point. This is his first full big time season and hes playing Europa/League week in week out, he will tail off at the end of the season and people will start slating him if he isn't given a break.
Not saying rest him now, but as soon as we have some defenders back we need to give him a break.
No way in hell did we only have 33% possession against Blackburn.Against Wigan with 2 DM (in a game you say we were in less control of than the Blackburn game) – 66% possession , 7 shots on target, 7 off, and 9 corners

i would go with that, he isnt a DM but a player who can put his foot in
i just took it from BBC website

i didnt think it would be as low as that but i went what what they said
Serious question sloth, do you honestly think that our biggest focus should be breaking up play' when playing against a team like QPR?
I cant see how when we dealt with Liverpool (with 11 men) so well and played them off the park, we should be contemplating having two holders against a team like QPR?
You are right in your assessment that the 4231 is not necessarily a less attacking formation than the original 442. But against a side that don't even really look at the ball, let alone dominate it like QPR, I don't see the issue at all with starting this one 442.

BBC stats are notoriously inaccurate. Torygraph says 56% to us.
