I'd go with the 5-3-2, continue to build on what we've got to max our performance.

Lloris; Aurier, Sanchez, Toby, Foyth, Davies; Eriksen, Dier, Dembele; Son, Kane.
Subs: Vorm, Trippier, Oakley-Boothe, Winks, Sissoko, N'Koudou, Llorente.

Putting Toby central to make Foyth more comfortable. Will Poch go Tripps och Aurier. Without the red I think he'd go Tripps. Now I'm not sure. Dembele fit hopefully, otherwise Sissoko.

I think Kane will be on the bench for this the pitches out there are quite hard and I can't see Poch risking him unless needed.

No way should Kane be on the bench. This game is just as important as the Dortmund one. I would put Llorente upfront though with him and go 2 up top.

We should also keep the Dembele factor whether he is fit or not, presumably not.So I'd go with same team of Sat with Son in for Delle, Foyth for Jan and maybe Tripps for Aurier

4-4-fackin-2 might be a possibility given the 2 suspensions?

Lloris

Aurier
Toby
Sanchez
Davies

Dier (DM)
Eriksen (AM)
GKN (LM)
Son (RM)

Kane
Llorente

Feels a bit all out attack though :ROFLMAO:

This is a crucial must win game. Not the one for rotation or resting. Lose this and we can hand the initiative back to Dortmund.

Especially as form wise this is a great time for Dortmund to be playing Real.

Dortmund are in cracking form, but their high line worries me. I think Real Madrid will exploit it just as easily as we did, unless Dortmund drop a fraction deeper. On their day though, they truly can beat anyone, so there is a chance Dortmund get something form their game.

Regardless, the old cliches ring true here, focus on our game. We must win here as in this group APOEL are the poor whipping boys, yet if they grind out a result against anyone, that team is facing an uphill struggle to qualify, as such I would rather it not be against us!!

For me that means Kane starts. Poch may well go to a back 4 to compensate for the loss of Verts, or he could hand Foyth a start in the CL. My head tells me Poch will likely go 4 at the back and keep Foyth on the bench.

Aurier will play as his sending off was daft, rather than malicious and a fraction soft, so no need to throw the toys out here. Plus as he will miss the Huddersfield game, it means Tripps will play that one rather than come in here.

Son will presumably come in for the still suspend Dele and I suspect that might be about it in terms of changes. Think Winks will get some game time, but won't start. SIssoko and DIer will therefore likely remain the midfield.

Wouldn't it be better though if Real Madrid won? We don't have to win the group (as you know), we "only" need to come second. And surely, a Real Madrid win will aid us in chasing qualification? If Real Madrid and we win, we'll have two team of 6 points and two teams of 0 points in the group, going into the two matches vs. Real Madrid. :hungry:

We really need Moose with this busy roster, I figured he was being rested against Spammers so he would start against Apoel as he is not yet match fit

So, do we want RM to beat BD, and we hope for second place?
I suppose so.
is the likeliest scenario, but who knows... a win tomorrow and then a result against RM...?!

Definitely wouldn't rule it out. Every single player will won't to play at their very best vs. Real Madrid, and we might have a nigh injury free squad.
