Looks like they are in bad patch of form, even in their league. Have not scored a goal since 9th sep. In last 6 games, just won 1 game (all competitions). Their stadium isnt massive either with just 22k capacity.

So, hopefully this means, we won't get an intimidating atmosphere or a probable shock.

Regardless, we can't take this lightly - have to win well to sustain pressure on Dortmund

Assuming Dembele isnt fit, my XI (3-4-1-2)

Lloris,
Toby, Sanchez, Foyth,
Aurier, Dier,Winks,Davies,
Eriksen
Son, Kane

Personally think dembele was a precaution,he was training fine on Thursday. Some of poch comments sometimes get lost in translation.Would have no problem Foyth slotting in ,and we really might need him be t couple months. And let's not over blow our opponents, should be a comfortable win.
Pretty sure I read Poch said before the match that he has an ankle injury and will be out for a few weeks.

Agree. Dembele would have been in match day squad if it was just precaution.
Good thing is Winks looks to be back fit. That should help in this period. But we need Dembele by Liverpool game though

I would find a way to start Llorente in this one. We are going to need to get goals as quickly as possible because if we can't break them down early then we don't have much to change the game off the bench.

Not comfortable rewarding Aurier with a CL start after getting himself sent off, but an injury for Trips here would leave us seriously short for Huddersfield.

We coud do worse than dropping Eriksen back centrally, and using Harry in Eriksen's role. He's almost as good as Eriksen as a No.10 anyway, plus we might need some long range shooting. Give Llorente a start where his aerial ability might be very useful.

I wonder if it's possible for the admins to have a shortcut key that auto dumps "Got to play our strongest lineup" at the start of each post in this thread?

I don't have a lot of data on APOEL this year but they're 10th in their league having played 3 games. Their league seems to give them an extra day rest between league and CL matches as they played Friday and do before all Tuesday CL matches.

Vs. Madrid they played a standard 4-4-2 lineup and got worked by Madrid's 4-3-3. So I guess I'd go:

Lloris
Aurier-Toby-Sanchez-Davies
Dier-Winks
Eriksen-Sissoko
Son
Kane
