I am surprised to hear some of this as I thought Koeman was for the youth so it's a shame to hear for their academy and fans. And we are doing a great job however my issue isn't with him trusting the established young players it is the bolded bit in the last paragraph. It's hard to be better at everything but that is the only thing I want, just give more young players the odd minutes to show they are good enough. I believe Soton gave 5 18/19yos mins and there is no reason we couldn't have done the same. We are clearly doing ridiculously well though in the overall scale of things.

Also it's nice to see the philosphy of giving youth a chance really runs through the fans. I've seen it on twitter and in that comment, they really want their young players to get chances and are happy to trust their academy to cover any sales they make. They are a lot more open and accepting as a fan base of trusting their young players, probably as they've been doing it for the last decade, whereas there still seems to be an element of resistance from our fanbase
This is changing from the comments I have read. The more they finish in the top 8, the harder they want to push on and bring in players rather than give youth a chance. I have seen people criticise Reed for only being good off the ball but not good enough on it, they say Targett had 1 good game and was poor the rest of the time and I have also seen them (and this includes the posters wanting more academy players in the team) criticise JWP for being a MOTD player who has a few good minutes here and there, can occasionally whip a good cross in, but ultimately no where near the standard they need. I found the part about JWP interesting, as I think half of our fan base would love to have him, but we don't see him week in week out.

I actually think our fans are starting to go the other way. We have tried buying expensive players and it has failed and we have seen the soullessness on the pitch that it can bring, which doesn't happen with youngsters, even when they aren't quite up to scratch. I don't think it is happening as quick as you (I assume) and I would like, but the attitude is definitely changing. It's also making other team's fans a bit jealous too, which will help our fans come round to our way of thinking quicker.

Just don't think Scottish football especially lower division is enough. All over wharburton and get you thoughts on play and management style, but we can do much better for winks and a number of the others. Milo should go to villa maybe with onomah. We should look at QPR as well for others but not Rangers in that division.
Agree we can do better for winks and some others, but could still be a valuable partnership, and may be a good loan for the likes of Owens, j. Pritchard, Hayford etc?

Winks & Fredericks both on their way to Rangers on loan apparently. I'm surprised at Fredericks as he had a good Championship loan last season.

I once knew a player in the Arsenal academy who went to my school. He was alright didn't think he was special and I never thought he'd become a PL footballer and he went on loan to Inverness, Don't know where he is now.

Winks is a 100x better than him and Fredericks could play PL football and both will playing at a lower level than him it seems

Winks to Rangers will be a good move, doesn't matter if the level isn't the best. Rangers is still a massive pressure environment where they have to win and get promoted, he's not used to playing in front of big crowds on a weekly basis. We know that Warburton likes to play football, so it's a positive move all round if it happens imo.

It is still a massive club though and to be part of getting them promoted would be something special for young Winks.

The thing is, it didn't work out great for Bartley as there aren't any big clubs he will be facing

There some big clubs in the championship and the pressure is just as big if not bigger at some clubs

Nice video. He has a great ability to play the ball to teammates with perfect precision and pace. But my god, he's sooo one-footed!

Yeah, just like Messi.

Seems like he had a better 1st half LOL!

Is he still a Spur then, I heard he may go to Barca.

i can guarantee that if edwards was right footed you'd never hear anything about him being one footed.

great write up by @KingSRV by the way, for a neutral/chelsea fan to praise the same players that are regularly spoken positively about in here just adds weight to the fact that it's not just spurs fans overrating their own.
