Might need a joint think (or corrrections) with other posters but from memory these are all the call ups received by current u21's or development squad members (oldest age squad only included) who came through Spurs youth system (ie ignores Dier, Davies)

u21's
- England - Kane, Carroll, Pritchard
- Scotland - Archer
- Serbia - Veljkovic
- R of I - McEvoy

u20
- England - Ball (formerly NI u21)

u19
- England - Winks, Fredericks (now age 21)
- N. Ireland - McEneff

u18
- Japan - Goddard
- USA - Carter-Vickers (now in u23 squad)
- England - Onomah, Walker-Peters (Edit - Oduwa, Sonupe, Miller)

u17
- England - Ogilvie, Whiteman, Edwards
- Slovakia - Lesniak
- N. Ireland - McDermott, Paul

u16
- England - Amos, Maghoma (u16 camp ? - edit - full cap), Tangana, Brown, Bennetts
- Portugal - Lameiras
- Belgium - Azzaoui

Might be a few mistakes/omissions !

Didn't one of our players opt to play for Antiga (or someone)?

Fredericks is 22 in a couple of days time, so although he'd been playimg well at Middlesborough he may be old enough that the manager wants to have players who will be available for a year or more in the team - which will not be Ryan, and he may already be beyond the age cut off.
I just checked and there is no age cut for over 21's.

The rule is they have to be 21 or under when they played their first qualifier. So essentially 23 or under tournament.

So as Fredericks has never played in a U21 qualifier, and turns 22 in a few days, he will never get to play for the England U21's?

Questions to anyone who goes to watch our U21s!

Who would you say is the most likely to step up to the seniors this season?

All the noise in match reports is about Oduwa and Walker-Peters.

From what little I've seen of Oduwa he looks like he could make an impact now.

Is he ready, or what are his weaknesses?

Thanks

Milos Veljkovic has been an absolute beast this game, shutting down Isco and company at every opportunity

If Isco and Morata are in his back pocket he can play EL and CC for us

Well I'd say Veljkovic is the most likely, but I assume you mean players that have never been involved with the first team squad thus far.

We have PLENTY of talented players in the academy, but most likely as of now due to injury situation would prob be KWP. If Naughton is injured and Walker out. With Yedlin still not here and Fredericks on loan leaves us with Dier and Chirches who are both mainly CBs. If McQueen isn't used and they went on talent and potential KWP could come on as a sub or maybe start an EL or CC match (maybe). I'm going off the fact that a lot of managers are all talk. If Poch is serious about givign those who perform a chance over underperforming first teamers.

Then Winks or Onomah prob couldnt do worse than Paulinho (I supported him for a long time and still sort of do now, but if im honest he's showing nothing).

Oduwa as you said would be a threat from wide, and has shown that his abiltiy isnt purely down to size. Ogilvie, behind Rose and Davies if one gets injured. However, he has come off a layoff himself so would be too soon.

And I like Ball but if Veljkovic doesn't get a look in he def wouldnt this season.

Those are the most likely in favourable conditions i.e. injuries, confident manager, weakish opposition, or comfortable scorelines.

Otherwise I still think our squad is too big or it may be too soon.

Kane and Carroll starting for the u21s, Dier on the bench. pritchard didn't make the bench unfortunately.

Hasn't Oduwa committed to Nigeria now?

Think he mentioned something about wanting to play for their adults but not really sure where he stands.

How is Pritchard not on the bench smh

Thought that too but maybe it's Spurs bias:

@England U21s v Croatia subs: Bond, Garbutt, Dier, Lascelles, Baker, Ince, Bamford. #EngvCro

Ince and Bamford have had more of an impact that Pritchard over a longer period so can kind of understand that. Dier and Lascelles are defenders but I have no idea about Garbutt and Baker.

Kane scoring for the England U21's is impressive, but Veljkovic keeping a clean sheet against an attack of Morata, Isco, Deulofeu, and Munian is even more-so!

Also, Tom Carroll just played an incredible pass.

I'd love to take a punt on Berahino. Seems to have decent chemistry with Kane.

Dier killed a guy.
