Our squad is extremely strong but we are desperately missing wide cover, creativity in midfield and a striker or 2.

I'd be looking at bringing in Eriksen, Benteke, Damaio and a back up right winger.

-------------------LLoris-----------------
Walker----Vertonghen--Kaboul-------BAE
------------Sandro-----Dembele----------
------------------Eriksen-----------------
Lennon-------------------------------Bale
------------------Damaio----------------

Subs: Friedel, Dawson, Sigurdsson, Holtby, Adebayor, Benteke, Naughton with Dempsey, Carroll, Townsend, new RW also options.

Probably looking at spending 60-70m+ not taking into account sales, but would leave us with a team capable of challenging for the top 3 as well as a substitutes bench that could have a real impact.

To keep this short i don't really see a future for Gomes, Naughton, BAE, Livermore, Huddlestone and Parker. They all have put in a shift over the years and hope they all get football elsewhere.

for me I want Benteke. If only him I be much happier. Im happy to give Rose and Townsend a chance plus like to see some of our youth break through.

A playmaker (stoke game showed we struggle to turn possession into goals and rely a lot on counter attacking play) would be the icing on the cake.

it literally could be an amazing summer with the right dealings. I think it might be the window we deliver!

I am not prudent in any way but I don't see the need to use words that teens use to appear tough. Friedel, Gomes, Thud and Defoe have all made their contributions ... so why use the derogatory "fuck off" o_O How old are you? Did you say that a few seasons back when Gomes won Spurs the vital game vs Arsenal to almost clinch the CL spot? You analysis was not totally off but your language was.

Sorry.

I really, really want Benteke. Doubt we'll get him though after the season he's had but would love him all the same.

I hope he's AVB's number one target this summer.

Think 4 players is a minimum in the summer:-

Left Back
Creative Midfielder
Wide Forward / Winger
Striker

But, in dream land we could also do with another defensive midfielder to cover Sandro, another striker, and a 3rd choice keeper or backup for when Friedel goes/retires.

Funds should be there from the TV Money and the sales or free up in wages of the likes of Gomes, Gallas, Bentley, Huddlestone, Rose, Adebayor or Defoe (Can see 1 of them staying) Livermore and maybe Dempsey.

Parker being linked with QPR tonight again. Harry wants him to lead their charge back into the Premiership.

As much as I love Parker, in particular his performances last season. Theres been signs this season, maybe due to injuries, of the pace of the premiership catching up with him.

If we can get some decent cash whilst we can before age decreases his value, think we should do it. If not, he has more than enough quality to be a squad player next season.

Precisely the way I see it to mate, down to the last word :)

Would be a smart move for him. He'd be one of the better players in the Championship, earn very good money and work under someone he likes. I think he must realise he'll never get into the England set up again, so he won't have to worry about losing his profile.

The financial fair play has kicked in for the Championship. Cant see them paying big wages as they need to almost break even for the year. Also dont see Parker going down to the Championship.

Brad also signed a contract this season. He will be our back up keeper next season. By then i hope our young keeper is ready to take over as No.2

I also wonder how it would work if we do play 4-3-3 next season:

Lloris
Walker---Kaboul---Verts---Coentrao
Sandro
Dembele-----Moutinho
Bale----Damaio----Ade
Interesting how Ade has started to drift around a lot now hes started to look interested again. Could this work with a proper no 9 as a focal point? Could save us 10-15 million if we could make it work. Plenty of goals in that front three.

i do like the look of that front 3 providing ade has taken his finger out of his arse, could be a viable and daunting option in some games.

Keep

Lloris

Walker
Vertonghen
Kaboul
Dawson
Caulker
Rose

Sandro
Holtby
Dembele
Carroll
Sigurdsson
Lennon
Bale
Townsend

Dempsey

Would accept good offers for

Friedel, BAE, Naughton, Parker, Livermore, Defoe, Adebayor - for various reasons, but I wouldn't let too many of these go so as to not have too big a squad overhaul. For example, Friedel is still fine as a second choice keeper and unless he wants to leave or we find a better backup willing to be second choice who doesn't cost the earth we may as well go for it, providing it doesn't affect our ability to bring in more important targets. I'd still expect at least three or four of these players to still be with us next season, and I wouldn't be disappointed by that as most of them should only be taking up squad places anyway.

Sell/release

Gomes, Gallas, Bentley, Falque, Khumalo

Main transfer targets

At least one first choice striker. If there's any truth or chance in Higuain, he'd probably be as good as we could get and would be a superb signing. Otherwise my first choice would be Lukaku, but he's probably an unrealistic target for various reasons. Depending on whether or not either or both Defoe and Adebayor are sold, make that two strikers.

Creative midfielder in the Modric mould. LB if BAE is sold and AVB doesn't see Rose as a starting LB. That Son fella at Hamburg looks pretty swish, too, he'd be good too.

In - Micah Richards (Can cover full back too)

CM - Sandro, Dembele, Parker, Holtby, Carroll, Luongo

Out- Huddlestone (Sold), Livermore (Sold)
In - Luongo (Loan Return)

AM - Bale, Lennon, Dempsey, Siguardsson, Townsend, Remy, Son

A lot will depend on where we finish this season.
Looking at our season we really need to take a close look at our defence, we are constantly giving away easy goals.
I would let Brad and Gomes leave and bring in another keeper.
I would replace Ekotto and possibly keep Rose as a backup.
I would look to replace Dawson and let Gallas go.
Walker and Naughton at RB, I would leave as is and reconsider in January.
In midfield I would sell Huddlestone and Parker and bring in someone like Diame(W Ham)
I doubt we will sell Dempsey or Siggy but they need to improve.
Adebayor I would sell if we can get decent money for him..........Benteke would be brilliant.
Defoe really needs replaced and another striker is needed.
We also need to bring in a striker/winger who can play in a number of positions and has a bit of pace.

However the number 1 bit of business we need to make ..........keep Gareth Bale.

I'd rather sell Parker and let the youth have a chance or Holtby
Naughton isn't terrible as cover and we're unlikely to buy a player for a position that's non-essential to fill

I think funds are limited and most will go on LD

if we spunk most of our load on Damiao I will be pissed

Why sell Friedel, just to have to waste money on replacing him? He will do fine for next season.

Everyone knows the players we need to shift (Gomes, Bentley etc)

I think BAE will go due to the fact that AVB doesn't seem keen and he holds a decent value, especially whilst clubs like PSG and Monaco have money.

Parker will go if someone offers decent money for him.

don't mind who we bring in aslong as we address our problem areas.

Address our issues, not make them worse!

Thing is we can all say players we would like but not many would have had Lloris or Dembele on a similar thread this time last year. I trust the manager and the board to strengthen.
