I think you guys should take one positive out of the game. Lurch looks a player! The usual formula consists of (at least) one of the following happening when we're overnight during an innings
1: Lose an early wicket
2: Get out without adding to overnight score
3: Collapse
So kudos to the lads for achieving all three.
If Boycott had been batting we wouldn't have got the 176 in 2 days let alone 1I don't know what is more depressing, having to listen to Australian Donald Trump style boasters and sledgers getting their own way or that constantly critical Boycott saying "I told you so " or "It would have been different if I'd have been batting" and when he's not saying those things over and over again like a parrot he's constantly banging on about how wonderful all things Yorkshire are !! Well if that's the case then why the f*ck do you support Man Utd then you bandwagon jumping critical w*nker !!!
My understanding is that bt have signed a contract with an Aussie tv company for coverage of their Shield games and this tour included it.I heard on the radio that Sky didn't really go in hard for this ashes as the viewing figures are always pretty low when its all played in the middle of the night, so they more or less let BT have a free run at it.
Does anyone know if this is the case or do we have more of this BT tat to put up with?
In all honesty so far its probably for the bestMy understanding is that bt have signed a contract with an Aussie tv company for coverage of their Shield games and this tour included it.
Hope to god that’s the case as not even having basis highlights on the news channels is disgraceful, my lad is pretty upset he can’t watch any of it.
I’d love to know when this deal was signed how on earth they thought that they would be taking the game to the masses, as they claimed, when kids over here can’t even see a highlights package.
Question for all you good folk over there. When your home test matches are played, is it broadcast on terrestrial of free to air television? We have a major rule here which in effect guarantees free to air viewing for the major sports (cricket, AFL, Rugby League, Tennis). I was just wondering if that's the case there? My understanding is that bt have signed a contract with an Aussie tv company for coverage of their Shield games and this tour included it.

No, Sky (PPV) have the rights to most of it, I think theres a highlights package on terrestrial TV though.Question for all you good folk over there. That really sucks for you blokes. Channel 9 has had the cricket since Packer created his war (the best thing that could have happened to be honest) which prior to was the ABC and boring as watching paint dry. Fox have all AFL games but 7 still broadcast 5 a week to Adelaide, including our 2 teams (either live or slight delay) Its one good thing about Australian content requirements on free to air TV!No, Sky (PPV) have the rights to most of it, I think theres a highlights package on terrestrial TV though.
Exactly the same for the premier league.
If you aint paying, u aint watching (legally)...the irony is this is all the work of an Australian.
only thing we get dicked with is Optus having the PL rightsThat really sucks for you blokes.
