http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/11...ustralia-in-protecting-free-to-air-sport.html

The list of sporting events protected for live free-to-air broadcast in this country is vanishingly small: the Olympics and Paralympics, the World Cup, European championships and FA Cup final in football, the Grand National, the Derby, Wimbledon singles finals, the rugby league Challenge Cup final and the Rugby World Cup final.
Great find A&C. I think his final sentence sums up how every sport fan probably feels.

" The Australians appear to have grasped something that we have not: at its heart, sport is not a commodity or a product. Sport is for everyone."

See bairstows comments re sledging, shock horror Australians take thing too far, world worst sportsman and winners.
Living in Australia for a while back in 2002-5 got dogs abuse when we lost the ashes in 2003 later that same year when England won the rugby World Cup in Australia the same people refused to speak or acknowledge me when I gave it back.

Hey we are not all that bad! :D
As a side not apparently Jimmy Anderson was by far the biggest sledger on the field last match.

I know made a lot of friends when I was there, I just find the attitude to sport to much.
Anderson gives as good as he gets no doubt as I’m sure a lot of the English guys do but I’ve never seen the England sides wicket keeper and the slips all sledging batsmen in between balls like the Aussies did to root or the way they talk in press conferences.
It’s bad sportsmanship and not necessary and it makes no difference to the results imo. Australia are 2-0 because they have been better than England in all departments not because of sledging

Huge breaking story unfolding regarding corruption and match fixing re this test.
James Sutherland, Cricket Australia CEO just held a presser. After phone conferencing with ICC Investigations, ECC and CA there is no evidence to suggest any wrong doing.
Source of the story..................................................................The Sun! :banghead:

Ended up being the best first day we've had in ages. Cook is done. Vince hopefully is done. Good batting from Malan and Bairstow. Sets it up nicely.

Good to be competitive for a change!

This game is on. Should get even better for batting today.

Good get Warner! We might not lose in 4 days yet. That counts as a win right?

Spineless batting yet again.

Does nothing but give encouragement to bowlers knowing one wicket and the 5 or 6 wicket collapse is on.

Day 1 to England.
Day 2 to Australia.
Evenly matched. Has draw written all over it.

Any rain circling around Perth the next few days (fingers crossed)?

I would rather pull an all nighter on xmas day watching the MCG Test knowing that we are not 3-0 down with nothing to play for.
