Imagine how badly we'd be doing if England didn't do 2 years of preparation for this tour.

This innings and this series surely represents the nadir of English test cricket.

ECB too busy grubbing every penny they can from one day and 20/20 variants to give the slightest shit about the test side.

From 60-5 to bowled out for 68 in 4.5 overs. Embarrassing, humiliating, pathetic aren't strong enough words to describe this performance.

I like Nasser but that analysis makes it as clear as mud. DRS may well have been brought it to get rid of the horrendous decisions but imo it’s changed the game for the worse

I’m with Warne & Kohli.

Basically if the umpires give you out a lot more on review there will be a hell of a lot more LBW’s. If they give a decision not out they’ll be even less LBW’s after the reviews…

Probably less LBW’s to seamers these days because it’s neutral umpires and the umpires generally leave it to the technology

This England team is so bad that had it been in the rules we should give Root 6 places, Bairstow wicket-keeper and play 4 bowlers.

Selections, performances, zero pre Ashes practice and picking players who have barely played for 2 plus years is a recipe for disaster.

Beyond Root and a few decent knocks for Malan the remaining batting line up has been an unmitigated disaster.

Worst England team ever. But they'll play the ostrich and fuck-all will change.

It certainly seems the worst Test side since back before Nasser was brought in as captain years ago and started a recovery ( although I can’t remember just how bad we were then in terms of overall results in Test matches).

Has the same feel about it though.

It was so much better when the ball had to pitch in line and be going on to hit the stumps to be out. These days it can pitch anywhere for the batsman to be out.
